Yeah random abandonment of some phones in terms of upgrades makes me want a Nexus too.

I would either get a Nexus, or a very well supported phone in terms of devs. My SII has a half decent 4.1.1 rom which I use as a daily driver.

Damn Android and Me are reporting that the recent rumours about Android 4.2 were fake.

That means there is no Project Roadrunner, no customisation centre no new Play store.

What a shame.

November isn't too far away I guess we'll know soon what Google has in store for us.

balls. but maybe that means that stock will be stock and no chance to add an overlay, which IMO is a good thing

It is a good thing and that's the way stock should be.

Let's hope that Google see some sense and release the new phone with at least a decent amount of storage, that'll be the one saving grace.

Frustrating that the rumour appears false, but I expect there will be a slew of other goodies anyway. And no-one's denied the multi-device and Optimus Nexus rumours (...yet)
