---2012 Nexus Phone facts/rumours/info thread---

I'm in two minds about the phone. Not particularly fond about the back design and the fact that LG haven't got a great track record when it comes to hardware (Optimus X2 debacle)

I hope that the rumours of the GNex2 are real as I will probably opt for that, actually any other Nexus devices would be most welcome!

Still I wont make a decision until all the facts are out in the open.

To me it looks like a nexus (which I have and don't like too much) but worse.

I don't know if I prefer on screen or Hard buttons tbh, but I agree, lots of bottom bezel AND onscreen buttons is bad. May as well loose half an inch of screen

This does look like the final article from LG - Bar the screen which has poor black shift as it's a dev model.

Not my cup of tea - think the GNex is better, esp with the curved glass. WE NEED PICS OF THE GNEX II !!! :)

i'm interested to see this years nexus phone/s, i might get one on contract if i really like a phone.

I'm still more than happy with my GNex, its great running vanilla android as standard. I havent needed to flash a half broken rom for nearly a year now :D

I dont think i'll buy a non nexus phone again TBH.

Looks pretty good, though I’m not a fan of that aspect ratio. It makes the phone wider without really adding much. Looking at the pics I think it’s safe to say the battery will be non removable.

That glass back is sure gonna cause a lot of controversy though :D

I think the original GNex is still the way to go if the specs aren't something half decent. I'm hoping like others that there's more Nexii to be released by other manufacturers.

JB brought a massive improvement to the GNex and as Jimlad pointed out it was like having a new phone when JB was released.

I don't like the extended bezel on the top and bottom of the LG it's unnecessary and doesn't look right.

What Touchwiz? :)

I'm running a Samsung ROM but there's no sign of TW on my phone. It looks and feels like normal JB.

I don't really get the whole "I must not have TW on my phone at all" thing since imo there are elements of TW which are far better than stock/vanilla but each to their own i guess! :)

TW is the launcher though, I have everything a Samsung ROM has to offer tweaks wise, nothing like that is removed. My point was my phone looks and feels like stock JB but without the lack of Samsung tweaks and features - Basically those that don't like the stock TW look can very easily have a stock Android look and feel without sacrificing anything.

If you mean the launcher then why would you use TW home launcher when there are superior launchers out there like APEX/NOVA etc? :p

It was crappy once upon a time and some of the geeks still think it's cool not to have it. Each to their own.

Hell no i meant things like the camera app and swipe to call / text etc which I consider features of TW :) I'd not suggest using TW as a launcher over apex / nova.

Yeah all that is there, like I said, I'm using a Samsung ROM so nothing is missing apart from the dated pre-ICS colours and icons Samsung use :p
