Been lifting for a long time (7 years!?)
but was misguided at the start and didn't perform compounds other than Bench Press. About 2 or so years ago I started training properly & drastically dropped the amount of Muay Thai I was doing and have had some decent gains since. I also started training with a mate who was a complete newbie 2 years ago and he's caught me right up and in some cases exceeded me (117.5/200/225 @ ~100). Any pressing movement though and I have a comfortable lead but then I should as I've been doing it for 5 years longer!
I'm not massively into 1RM as I've had too many injuries from doing them so I don't expect to add much to this for a while. Also on a cut come mid May which won't help
