*** 2014/15 Pre-season Friendly Thread ***

Utd definitely looking a bit sharper at the moment, should be a good little friendly this..

Yeah wasn't soft, you don't put your hand on someone's shoulder to do anything but pull them back if you're behind them so its a pen

Soft? he trod on his left foot as well, before he goes down it's Bale's left foot out behind him, Keane steps on it as well as the pull, but it's the catching his foot that took him down.

..DM.. soft as in.....lame penalty to give away from UTD's point of view. There was no need. Not soft from the Refs point of view. Hence my earlier bit when i said tut tut..

I am just thinking what would be if we had of outbid Real for Bale considering the Adidas deal was coming. Imagine him instead of Young in that wingback position.

Herrera is playing pretty good though, Keep watching him when he moves for the ball and they ignore him and play it wide. It is so fustrating to watch his brain is literally 1-2 steps ahead of Fletcher and the back line. It is Kagawa all over again except from a much deeper position. And speaking of that i do not like the way the play is so deep at the back. Granted that is how 5-3-2 works but they need to shift it forward faster and learn thier positions more.

Rooney is dropping deep and making a mess of what should be a fairly simple 3-4-3 with Mata and the central defender closing in to make a midfield diamond.

Yup, though I know exactly what you mean I think the only way to really translate that is that Young's cross was horrible :p

Rooney, not sure if he left it on purpose, think it was just a miss but just going for it and the potential for him to put it in completely the other corner meant the keeper couldn't react till after Rooney touched or didn't touch it.

I don't like him at all flashy feet that is it really. No brain for LVG these guys will get on ok in pre-season but i guarantee he has Young and Zaha out the door by next year. I would.
