2017 car launches

Hopefully for them its function over form?!?! I always wish they'd go a bit more crazy with the colour schemes too.

Back end looks toight from that photo though.

What is going on with the barge boards? The more I look at that car, the worse i feel about it.

Lets hope it performs better than it looks. I remember someone far cleverer than me once saying that overly complicated aero is a sign that something is drastically wrong with the base design :(

I have had a fiddle about with the Mercedes images in an image editing tool, and I think we are looking at an "extended finger" nose. It will get wider towards the suspension area, because frankly I cannot see how they can support/fit the suspension if they don't and there are some interesting shadows/areas that are revealed when playing with the contrast.

Apparently will be Orange and White, which makes sense.
McLaren = Orange
Honda = White
I think so. The McLaren facebook page posted an image a few hours ago of one of the classic mclaren honda's under a bright light and the colours on the car brightly highlighted. My money is on orange/white

the question is what progress has honda made with out all the restrictions in place.
shame i no longer like mclaren but quite like honda and it would be nice if Alonso wasn't wasting his final few years at the back.

I'm expecting big improvements out of Honda this year. Tokens have been removed, Renault are being quite shouty about their gains.
As McLaren are a works team and this year will be all about development, they should progress a lot more than previous years.

Honda, Ferrari and Renault are using all new engine designs, which will be the same layout as Merc, so it won't just be Honda having to do a lot of testing on engines again.

What's your source for this Duke?

I know its heavily rumoured that Honda is copying Merc, but I've not heard anything of the Renault or Ferrari following suit.

Merc looking nice again, smart nose and no shark fin. Even a little more colour.

Looks a bit plain actually but no doubt that's nothing like the version that will appear in Melbourne.

The wing looks well ahead of the nose On all the designs so far. Could be a recipe for lots of wing damage?
