2019 car launches

Alfa's got a test livery too, but their front wing and nose looks absolutely bonkers. Loopholes already?

Is that a special Valentine's Day livery? The wing interests me more than the nose, those and elements and end plates are very strange. I wonder whether it's real, or just a dummy.

Check out the multiple strakes in the rear wing endplates too. No team has anything like that so far. Mercedes has a single plane and McLaren have some small strakes, but nothing as extreme as the Alfa.

I'd expect Ferrari aero to be very similar.

*Edit*
Oh god, I've just seen the McLaren overalls *blueeeergh*

Yea @Spunkey they've done this for the past few years. I can understand 'their brand' and wishes to protect/keep promoting that but the launch liveries are awesome and would look great in-season.

That's a shame. I knew they'd done it in previous years but hadn't heard any clear mention that this year's was just for testing until I saw the RB shakedown video on the F1 YT channel.

Not keen on the mclaren colour scheme but it will be at the back so we wont see it much

Are there any decent pics to get a good look at the smaller details of the cars?

Nice to see some different aero concepts.

McLarens bargeboard wing and sidepod winglets are interesting in themselves. Saubers front wing is odd, but I can see that as a theme this year.

Paintjobs on the other hand... lets hope most of these are just for testing...

Ferrari pictures (render) leaked ahead of the launch in the next 30 mins...

Is that a matte finish, or just a crappy texture on the render?

The Ferrari front wing follows the same idea as the Alfa, but not as drastic. The rear wings are almost identical, though.

Sure, it's not radical in livery, I didn't expect it to be. However, I love the matte paint.

I heard on the Autosport podcast that they were rumoured to be going for a different shade of red (like the Ducati motorbike team). Was that fact or fiction?
