***2019 powerlifting totals***

Decided to try my deads as I'm taking 3 months off to travel, another attempt without any real prep and it's my 8th week moving over to sumos.

After a back tweak 3 years ago, I really struggled with it along with hip pain. Met some of the very best sports med's up North and no one could really help. Was lost for words for a long time.

Overjoyed is probably the word now :D

That said, can we introduce one of those body weight to weight lifted now :D

First update in a little while, but I’ve been focussing on reps and form more than anything. Squat is slow to progress, working around 150-160. Bench I’ve had to scale back to protect my shoulder, working around 120-130. My deadlift is getting stronger each week though. However, I’ve felt quite nauseous for a few weeks now, so I’ve not been eating as much as I’d like, but my weight is slowly going up.

not updated for a whlie as i havent tested my max's recently however got 152.5 on bench a couple of weeks ago. Been ill the past week and dropped down to 101kg :eek: (not changing this on the table as i think it will all come back within a week or so)

Plan on testing my max's over the coming weeks, think they will all go up a little, particularly bench where i got 5 reps at 145kg last week.

squats are feeling nice at the moment, tempted to try a PB but being sensible!

finally repping 100kg so hopefully my long standing 105 bench PB will get crushed.

garage squat rack gets installed tonight so will allow me to train more effectivly
 
Decided to test the water today as it was the first day back in the gym for a week, got a pretty comfortable 155kg on the bench. Think I could have got 160 today.

Wasn't planning on testing a max today but 240kg felt good on the deadlift. Got 260kg. Weight seems to have stabilised at 105 as well.

Squat and bench haven’t gone up as much this year, but having switched to low bar recently and having only returned to flat bench earlier in the year, I suspect they’ll progress better early next year. I’d really like to aim for 95kg body weight too.

I’d say the most progress has been on all of my isolation movements recently.
 
I have seriously let my strength slip the last couple years. Been a regular gym goer but concentrated on other stuff. Its not what i enjoy so hear i am back to strength training on stronglifts, let the gains commence.
