2020/21 Sack Race

I still can't believe the Europa Conference is a thing. I thought you guys were taking the **** when I saw it mentioned at first. That is the last thing I would want as a borderline mid-table PL side. Playing 3rd rate teams from the arse end of nowhere in the middle of the week for poor prize money, 0 kudos and what I assume will be a detriment to your league form.

I disagree with that as it helps the teams develop youngsters and academy players and prepare to play in the bigger European competitions. It always happens to the "bottom" teams when they have a good season and get into Europe. They end up struggling and it effects them in the league. A weaker version might help make a stepping stone into something bigger.

I'm not sure Spurs missing out on Conte is a big deal. I read and heard loads of stuff about how well he does in the short term at clubs but they were missing out massive detail - he's does that by spending big money on ready made players to go straight into the side. He was never going to be afforded that at Spurs. Everything said about him you could have said about Mourinho and look at how that worked out for Spurs.

Spurs cannot compete by just signing ready made players because there's at least 4 sides in the League with far more money than them who will be buying better players than they can afford. They need to take a longer term view and build for the future with a manager that can work with and improve players. They need another Poch.

The same applies to Everton too.

I've no idea. I just find the thought of Duncan Ferguson rejecting Real Madrid funny and I'm really not sure I believe that he was offered a role there.
