Whats funny is that i actually had to pay for private healthcare a few years ago because when i first went to a GP they said i had to wait 6 months for an appointment with a specialists.. i mean wow just wow...

What did i do next day? googled a specialists private clinic, booked a appointment the next day, did a consulant and then the following wee, got what needed to be done, sorted....

So yea, i am in favour of just aboloshing the free pointless NHS system in favour or privatising it because the current NHS system is not worth my taxt paying money....

Absolute farce
I'm guessing, and feel free to correct me here, but I'm guessing this wasn't a procedure that cost you 6 figures? Even 5 figures?

If you're paying to go private where you can, then you're in a hybrid situation that I think the NHS ultimately has to lean on. Maybe this could be integrated into employee benefits more widely, but then again you're the employer, right? Couldn't you have private healthcare cover and be "tax efficient" as a result?

The problem is with your POV here, is that that you're expecting a huge organisation not to behave like a huge organisation. Yes, there is mismanagement, but there is in every huge organisation, that comes part and parcel of being a huge organisation. There's no evidence that the NHS has a particular problem with it. It is in fact, when compared to other organisations of the same size, the NHS is particularly efficient in lots of ways.

So, essentially, unless you actually want to shut the NHS down, I suggest you make peace with the mismanagement and accept it for what it is... the consequence of it being what it is - a large organisation.
I do feel a lot of the folk it employs would have no chance "in the real world".

ITT - people who pay lots of tax, who take home lots of money moaning they are hard done whilst people can’t afford to heat or eat…
Take a step back and get some perspective. If you pay lots of tax, you have lots of money. There’s no two ways about it!
Taxation pays for lots of things, and if you are paying such high amounts it’s likely you don’t see what it is being used on. Instead of thinking you are hard done by because of this, be thankful you don’t need the help and services our taxes pay for and give a lifeline to the vulnerable in our society.
Very toys out of the pram moment.

Ironclad….. hahah, please stop.

Yea but thats where we will head if the Gov dont get there **** together.

The thing is, both labour and tories are **** and lets face it, most people here will only vote for one of these two.

Most wont give lib dems a chance or another party,
Need voting reform for that, FPTP encourages voting for a major party plus safe seat area are pointless.

Labour were better when last in power than the nonsense we have now. Current Labour cant be judged on governing as they havent been there for so long.
