Even doing nothing would be better than this lot.
Only big change that was needed was energy help. Nothing else required

And even the "energy help" was effectively just ensuring the energy producers continue to make bank while the taxpayer has to repay it over the next god-knows how many years at this rate.

At this rate all the "irregular migrants" will be wanting their rubber dinghies back and setting off to return to France :) (Totally off topic but what the hell happens to these rubber dinghies and outboard motors, Dover and Lampedusa must the secondhand rubber dinghy capitals of the world?).

On a more serious note I do wonder if the long term aim is to make England a tax haven, I asked this before and got no opinion, but I know it's been mooted as a goal of some elements of the Conservative party. Is such a goal necessarily bad, should it prove to be the case?

You mean multi millionaire members of the Con party? At least they wouldn't have to go to the trouble of hiding it all in the Cayman Islands.

Don't tax havens only work for small populations?
Where 1pc tax or something is a massive amount of money due to everyone being so wealthy?

I have no idea, that's why I am asking, how and why did places like Monaco and the Cayman Islands become "tax havens", what good or harm has it done them, and how might England become one should the government try to achieve this?

...after the public turned on him due to the confected leftie rage and hysteria over party gate.. bet you all wish you'd kept your mouths shut..
Ah, so it's nothing to do with Con MPs (the ones who stabbed him in back / front etc) the Con MP's who put Truss in front of a few thousand idiot party members, or the idiot party members who picked Truss?
Or are all those Con MP's and Con party members 'leftie' infiltrators?
Take your pills.

We'd be better off roughly £1.2k per year with the tax cuts, but as our mortgage will be increasing by £7.2k/year when our fix ends, it's all peeing into the wind.

No, that idiot needed to go.... Just so happens the same idiots who were in total cahoots with the idiot ended being in the run to lead the party..... You couldn't make this up for a satire TV show.... Oh wait.

I wouldn't bother, you can tell from his constant laughing emojis that he's just trolling as usual.

At this rate Labour will have a good working majority after the next election. The tories know it too so will be focusing on lining up jobs in qangos & executive directorships.
