...after the public turned on him due to the confected leftie rage and hysteria over party gate.. bet you all wish you'd kept your mouths shut..
If you're happy being treated like a fool and a pushover good for you.

Personally, not a big fan.

No, we just hoped the Tory party would elect a suitable leader. They have humiliated themselves and the country, and instead of sorting things out, they've doubled down on their nonsense.

I would traditionally vote for them, but they have been catastrophically bad in so many ways, it's beyond a joke now.

We are being taken for complete fools. Nobody with a shred of self respect could endorse any more of this.

Amen, they have continuously taken everyone for a huge ride that's became beyond embarrassing.

Lol BoE. 'We will not hesitate' but actually, we are going to hesitate a bit. Emergency hikes from these doves, was never going to happen.
I just don't get who they are protecting?

I love how labour are now saying they'll reintroduce the 45% tax level to pay for more nurses. What a load of garbage. The money was there yesterday and they weren't proposing how to pay for nurses in the first place...

Some pleasing news on government spending and ambition in The Guardian:

"The Home Office plans to open two immigration detention centres to detain 1,000 male asylum seekers in a scheme which is projected to cost £399m.

The home secretary, Suella Braverman, has indicated she will take an even harder line on immigration than her predecessor, Priti Patel, and plans to increase the use of detention.

The government currently operates seven immigration detention centres along with some short-term holding centres in various parts of the UK. Officials say they can accommodate 3,000 people at any one time. If the two new centres go ahead, they will represent a significant increase in the number of people the Home Office can lock up."

Presumably to outsource to a private firm and then take a cut from the profits as we encourage high detention rates to protect corporate profits.

Could at least use her full name, Suella Trigger Braverman

Pretty sure there is a apposite quote from Yes, Minister that covers exactly this scenario.

"We will, in due course, considering one thing and the other, take appropriate action, after... etc etc"

BoE not doing anything certainly puts all the hysterical catastrophising in here in perspective.

I'm sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of Mortgage Lenders withdrawing their products due to not trusting the British Economy.....

Lenders suspend offering new mortgages

Some UK lenders have taken new mortgages off the table in response to turmoil in British funding markets.
Halifax, the UK's largest mortgage lender, says it will temporarily withdraw all mortgage products that come with a fee.
"As a result of significant changes in the cost of funding, we're making some changes to our product range," a Halifax spokesperson said in a statement.
Halifax, part of Lloyds Banking Group, says there will be no change to its product rates and that it continues to offer fee-free options at all product terms and loan-to-value levels.
Virgin Money says it is temporarily withdrawing all mortgage products for new customers at 20:00 BST, according to an email sent to brokers.
Skipton Building Society has taken its new mortgage business product range off the market with immediate effect, it told brokers in an email.

So, You were saying @n111ck ?
