Hmm... good to hear there is interest from manufacturers in this area. Would be nice to know what the screen size is, and what HDR means in the context of a monitor.

Will be googling 'quantum dot' later on.

It's not HDR I'm afraid - OC3D have made it up, their source is a TFT Central article where HDR is not mentioned and the official Samsung video where it isn't mentioned either. I'm sure Badass can back me up on this.

My TV is quantum dot. The picture quality is bloody amazing. It's the "tech" they use in all of their current highest end TVs. Can imagine this will be a pretty amazing and expensive monitor.

Just picked up a curved samsung 49" KU6670 tv and made some custom resolutions of 3840x1620 and 3840x1600. The image on my desk is huge and looks fantastic. Only cost me £580. The PPI is the same as a 32" 1440p monitor.

Witcher 3 looks epic. Kinda tempted to try 3840x1440 which would be really panoramic, but the wider the image fish eye starts to look dodgy on panning movement.

think I may have hit the jackpot, ordered an x34a from the rainforest 'warehouse deals' for 750gbp with the impression it was used/b-grade or whatever.

came this afternoon box was a bit battered but sealed and everything in side was mint - the screen overclocks to 100 easily and there is barely any blb. super happy!

must say that the extra screen estate is magnificent but the quality of the panel, colours etc in comparison to my old dell ips is pretty much the same.

I'm going to be ordering my new screen this week from OCUK which is going to be nice upgrade from my U2412M, before I pull the trigger and order the new screen. Is the LG34UC98-W generally preferred over the Dell equivalent?

I went from U2412M to U3415W. Dell monitor stand, looks and RMA I preferred over LG.

One hell of an upgrade though. :)

How well does the Dell overclock and how are they now for back light bleed? That's the only issue I have with the Dell screens, as my currently one has back light bleed and its highly annoying.

These panels don't overclock at all, except those with gsync. As regards blb, the Dell should be one of the best, meaning less chances to get a bumpy one. Less chances doesn't mean zero though. It also comes with one of the best warranty and custome service in the world (if not THE best) and it's an "U" so Ultrasharp.

What else could you want?
