***21.9 Ultrawide Thread***

I literally bought the 98 because the 88 was out of stock:D.

My DPD driver is 1 stop away! :D:D:D:D

Yeh same  The white will go nicely with my case though so well worth it :D

Let us know what you think and feel free to post some pics to hype me for tomorrow :D

Hi all,

I just got the monitor, I have pixels lighting up randomly all over my screen like this, very visible...

There is also a mark on the left side of the panel very visible like a scuff on the screen.

Ugh:D

Have you tried a different cable to rule out that as an issue ?

I will do so here in a little bit.

On the plus side, I will say guys the backlight bleed on this monitor is virtually none existent.

My eyes need to get use to this ultra high res and I need to find a decent profile I believe for colours.

Hopefully the pixel issue is just a display port cable issue, will find out later.

Brizzles just noticed you have a 390x as well - how well does it cope with 3440x1400?

Copes quite well, idles temps went up quite a bit though from a 24" 1080p

You are water-cooling, going from your sig - so doubt that will be an issue.

Performance is in-line with what i expected

Deus Ex Mankind Divided will average around 50-55 on medium / 60+ on low settings. Though the game is slightly buggy still - so not exactly the best gauge of performance.

You are certainly not going to max things out with a 390X at this res, but the resolution allows you drop setting without a great deal of image quality loss.

You are going into 980Ti sli territory if you want high frames and max settings at this sort of resolution.

Ok cool thanks, that's really helpful. I mainly play Squad on low settings and that's heavily CPU loaded at the moment anyway, so 390x sits around 45% use so I'm hoping frame rates will stay similar but push the GPU harder. We will see.

Keeping fingers crossed for Vega to deliver next year

Backlight bleed on mine is very good also, very little compared to some horror photos i've seen.

I posted where to get an icc profile a couple of posts above

I used an OcUK Display Port cable, not the supplied one - so fingers crossed it is just the cable.

The scuff on the side, if its just on the silver bezel - That has a strip of protective film around it - could just be the film.

The scuff is on the actual screen, I will try my other DP cables and HDMI later on tonight.

I applied the one you suggested, i hit install then went to colour management and set as default. Might be my eyes? This resolution man lol its playing with my eyes O_O.

I'll agree, the difference between the profile it comes with ( the first one in my image ) is hard to tell from the 2nd one i downloaded !

Was the box damaged at all?

I'll be gutted if mine arrives scuffed :(

It arrived absolutely fine, despite the pixel issues the screen works absolutely fine.

The scuff if it was not a £710 monitor is not something I would care about as its barely noticible.

The only issue is with the random pixels lighting up. I have tried the supplied cabling, I have also tried my own DP/HDMI cables. I also for the sake of being thorough used another graphics card.

Its not specific to one area of the screen the pixels lighting up happens at random and at a consistent rate all over the panel.

If it were not for this one problem I would not be complaining at all.

Gutted for you mate :(

But for £700 you want is as perfect as possible.

I would like to replace it, if It was a cheaper monitor I would not be fussed.

The only problem is that I wouldn't want this pixel issue to lead to something which causes the monitor to fail down the line you know.

I am sure you guys who have recently ordered will be fine :). The monitor is fantastic bar my problem.
