28 Weeks Later - May 11th Worldwide

28 Days Later was fantastic – great story and Danny Boyle. I’m worried that the story of 28 Weeks Later will be a bit rubbish and there’s no Boyle! Who is Juan Carlos Fresnadillo anyway? I’m expecting a typically poor sequel.
Danny Boyle is producing

I enjoyed 28 days later, trailer for this looks quite good, pity Danny Boyle and Alex Garland (wrote the book The Beach) are not involved in this film though. Hopefully the soundtrack is similar, epics from Godspeed you Black Emperor! played a great part in making the original so good.

It would have been quite hard to have shot London splattered in blood and wreckage because they could not get permission to shut down the locations in London to shoot, so they had to do it at 5am as far as I know!

Oooh 28 Days Later was good, quite different to your average zombie gore-fest. I was worried about this sequel purely because I heard it involved the American army (sounds a bit too action hero-y) but the trailer looks promising. One to see at release methinks.

just found this: OMFG
looks good to me :)

EDIT: bit scary not for the faint hearted! :o

Thanks, was sitting real close to the screen with the volume up and I just crapped myself :(

I real didnt appreciate the first one at the cinema but after I watched it again on DVD I liked it, looking forward to this :)

Juts watched that 5 min clip and can say honestly I wasnt expecting that bit and I did poo myself.

The first film was very good. It was one of the films that genuinely scares me to shreds. I hate watching it. I have seen it lots of times but still watch it becasue I feel un-nerved if thats the right terminology.

Im like that with a lot of Zombie type films.

Trailer makes the film look pretty damn good

Heh heh, I remember the 1st film coming out in the cinema and took my mum - within the 1st 5 mins of the film she closed her eyes and put her fingers in her ears for the remainder of the film - i didn't even realise she had done it till i looked over when the credits rolled down. I aint gonna take her to this one - be another waste of money methinks! :D

saw this the other night at a staff preview at my local cinema and its pretty sweet tbh, its not as good as the original but it's not all hollywood and American heros like some of us thought it does a really good job of scaring the living daylights out of you though lol

PS good ending!

jus come back from the cinema with the missus and i gotta say.......

it was ohhhh kay. Not brilliant but deffo not as good as i was hoping. the ladyfriend says she liked it tho. The weird thing for me was I used to live stones throw from where the majority of that film is set (canary wharf/poplar/isle of dogs) and it was soooooo weird recognising places and streets that I was just at a few months ago till I moved oop norf. Alas the missus didn't find it that impressive to have me nudgin her every couple of minutes pointing my flat out to her lol!

Anyways.... its a fair film but doesnt live upto the original.

Nuff said :)
