Yes it will run it fine, but a PSU of higher quality is ALWAYS desirable.

i wanna know which plug connects to the atx12v 4pin on the motherboard.. is it the one in the first picture that says 24 on it thats a 4pin, or is it the top right picture CPU1?

only one should fit in one wya aswell.

You will need all 24-pins in the main ATX socket, like the one on your current mobo, and as said the 4-pin CPU +12V should come from the top right picture. Just use the CPU1 connector and leave the CPU2 alone.

well i've just received my 2900pro at 8.35am

. now i just gonna wait till next monday to order the psu. so by next tuesday it should be working

It's the black box that is included with 2900xt and no, you don't get that with pro I don't think, you just get the HL2 lost coast and deathmatch that you get with any ati card anyway.

The OCZ's are fine :confused:

. I've got a loan of my m8's OCZ GameXStream 700w as my old PSU was just short of running my 2900. My m8 who I got it off replaced the PSU as it couldn't run 2x 8800GTX's in SLi alongside a 3.4Ghz E6600 and 4gb of DDR800. Otherwise it would still be in his system as it easily handled the 8800GTX on it's own.

So what's your problem with OCZ then Richdog?.

I got nothing?. No HL2 Lost Coast, Deathmatch or Call of Juarez with my 2900

Call of Juarez should be included.

Gibbo actually said in another thread that they have plenty in stock so give them a call and they'll pop a copy in the post for you.

As for the free HL2 lost coast and deathmatch offer, there are instructions on how to get them when you install the catalyst driver so watch out for that.

ok guys. i've had a very bad day, my MB as failed when i updated the bios, grrr stupid bios... anyway i bought a GIGABYTE GA M55S-S3 motherboard will the 2900pro still work on it?? please be 100% sure

you should be fine from what i have read, it still has a 16x lane and the nvidia chipset shouldnt cause any kind of performance hit.

Anyone else got this board?
