3090 is NOT a gaming card - Gamers Nexus DESTROYS the 3090

It's been obvious since the specs and prices were announced that the 3090 was hopeless. It's a low volume, flagship product, irrelevant to pretty much everyone.

Zero surprise at decent results against older hardware with RTX on. Whilst he did have negative things to say, they were almost promotion pieces.

I was really disappointed by LTT's video. Personally I've followed them for years and years... maybe I'm biased but I've not really felt a lot of biased reviews from them, but the 3090 "review"?? It almost made me want to buy one... and that's saying a LOT

*I mean the review video, not the jizzmaster 8k gaming one. However, now I think about it, that video too. nVidia feeding him lines.

Yup. I have zero issue people getting a 3090 btw, it's a fast card if you have the money. Price/Perf ratio is simply so low for actual gaming though. 10 to 15 percent.

Meanwhile this game dev student picked up 2 to use for UE4 because he knows how to utilize the card apparently. Asked my friend who has actually shipped games with UE4 and laughed, he agreed he wanted a 3090 for his dev rig and even asked (current he runs a 2080 ti) but said 2 is really pointless.
