30xx Series Founders Edition

It's 2020, you'd think after 30 years of the internet being around they'd have worked out load balancing websites by now

Got to payment, entered details - click buy, spiny wheel, then timed out. Fantastic.
 
Got an FE in my basket, paid via Amazon pay, site fell over....they have charged my card, I have an order number on Amazon pay, but not seeing anything in my order history.

Their phones and other support systems have fallen over.

11 FE's already on EBAY.

I reckon you can treat that as a pre-order once you get in contact with them. Be surprised if they cancel your order.

I paid through Paypal, have a receipt from *insert vendor here* and Paypal and a confirmation on the webpage. However my order history on *insert vendor here* doesn't have it either. I hope this isn't an issue, but it could just be that the site is under so much load that they have not got them to appear on the order page yet.

EDIT: It's still pending on Paypal and on my Credit Card statement too... I hope there's no issue.
 
The problem with using third party sites like that is that it can timeout on the message being returned to the vendor's site. Why were you using paypal or amazon pay?

I got an FE previously, took about an hour before it showed up in my account.

If implemented correctly, then it doesn't rely on the return. Backend API calls are also sent and will retry until successful (to a point) preventing such issues.

Card already registered with them, so no typing in of numbers etc, expected it to be slicker as handled by API rather than humans
 
I was on the site instantly and got all the way past captcha then it came up with basket empty. Couldn’t get back in there for another 15-20 mins, when I did it did it again then sold out :eek:
 
Yes! Just got my order placed email from *insert vendor here*. :)

Sorted. Bring on Saturday, can't wait to try ray-tracing for the first time . :) :) Will have to buy Control (been holding off until I had an RTX card) and maybe Watchdogs Legion now.

I had an FE in my basket too, failed to complete numerous times. Annoying that it didn't show up at 1pm; by the time it did I was too focused here trying to get something and didn't check back for a while becuase here was struggling so much.

Eventually got a Palit GeForce RTX 3070 Gaming Pro OC 8GB here at 13:30:57, which I thought must have been pretty good until I checked back on this forum and saw others had completed 15 minutes earlier. Also, probably doesn't help that I thought **all** Palit were high stock levels, but turns out it was the non-OC versions :(

My order didn't go through until 13:32 and received an order confirmed email 5 minutes later, I even had to change my shipping address and payment method 3 times and my internet cut out, I feel like if I managed to get one with the many mistakes I made everyone at least had a fair shot at getting the 3070 unlike the 3080/3090 which both went from notify me to out of stock in one F5 refresh.
 
Yep no the greatest experience I’ve had. I just took it as a sign to buy Amd instead. Just hope I can get something before Christmas as I’ve promised to build my little nephew a pc and he’ll need my 980ti
 
If you really want the card and don't insist on FE model,there is still stock of the 3070 in some retailers website.I just chekced and there is Gigabyte Eagle 3070 for £519 for example..
the stock and availability is FAR better than 3080.
