It just kept timing out for me, another total joke of a launch.

It timed out a bunch of times for me... The regular check out, the paypal checkout and the Amazon Pay checkout. Then finally the Amazon Pay checkout loaded with card/address details prefilled and I just clicked confirm. Then, of course, it timed out.

Lo and behold, an email came through from Amazon Pay saying that an order was made. Checked my bank, money has been "held". So, who knows. Limbo!

What is hilarious is that NV gave up on selling it themselves because it was so easy to buy one from them that it was gone in milliseconds and gave it away to a site where their servers still live in the 20th century that it was nigh on impossible to get past the basket stage lol

The random drops on the competitor site have been much better then the farce of today.

Is an anti-sag bracket necessary for the 3080 FE?

I’ve ordered one after feeling the weight of it today. It’s much heavier then the 3080 palit I already had, which come with a support bracket.

I’ve seen mixed opinions, some are suggesting the metal construction makes it a bit more sturdy and less likely to sag.

I’ll probably order one just in case.

I think the card will be alright I’m more worried about the motherboard taking a lot of strain. I brought a stand support for my nephews one, it’s all black and looks nice so I’ve just ordered another one for me.

It’s much heavier then the 3080 palit I already had

1,358g it seems, which feels aboutt right as that was the rough weight of my GamingX that it replaced and they felt about the same.

Not at all, mine is perfectly straight and completely solid, no sag at all.
