It's kind of disgraceful that the media is even showing the victims faces when their families haven't at least formally identified the bodies, and they probably haven't even been asked if they want their loved one to appear in the media.

It would be like if your mother, father, son, daughter, happened to die in a major incident, and the media going straight to their media profile page to steal photos so they can print them in their story. Disgraceful. The media hasn't learned anything.

It's not the medias fault that there's an audience in the British public that enjoys this sort of vile and vain reporting.

Never ever expect them to self-regulate, they simply will not. The fact is that the country needs to stop being filled with *****.

Didn't the police make that statement after the whole Chinese thing had already been published though?

No the police said they can’t speculate. What do you mean by “the media broke their word”?

More plausible it would be linked to loyalists, carting people about prostitution\trafficking is more their thing.

They did speculate that they was chinese though? On the broken word part I was meaning all the promises they made after the Cliff Richard fiasco about invading peoples privacy.

I don't think so as on that video it was posted yesterday and he mentions the vietnamese embassy.

I agree with you on some things. But we don't have a free press here, unlike the US. We supposedly have a press regulation body that seems to have gone silent in recent years. I wish I could be on that body as they seem to do nothing and get paid a lot.

But that's what I mean.

The "Chinese" idea was floated on the 24th. That video above was on the 26th. So they made the request about not speculating after the speculation had already occurred.
 
I wonder with mobile phone records will they be able to track the victims, and their journey. The social media companies probably know already.

Ahh I see what you mean. It is abit confusing as even after he said about not speculating he then thats mentioning the Vietnamese, creating more speculation material for the media.

I do not think it would be linked to Loyalists or Republicans, this will be truckers making easy money smuggling. With the real money being made in eastern/southern Europe and all the risk being with the Truckers making a few easy pound.

It isn’t clear what this guy is, he’s got a tricolour on his Instagram and uses the hashtag “irishfridgemen”. The Varna connection too which supposedly is a place linked to republican smuggling gangs.

It’s certianly something republican groups/gangs could get involved in tbh...
