Vulkan - 4867

DX12 - 4714

2925 Mhz, You pushed that.... nice. :)

Mind you its a Nitro+ i'd have to run my fans at 100% to get those clocks. (Sapphire Pulse)

I can’t seem to get it to validate which is annoying but whatever!

Interestingly, the fans left at default settings barely do anything at all. With the test being so short, its over before the fans really kick in. I've not had any better results forcing fans high maybe due to having the fans taking power away that could otherwise be allocated to more boost clocks.

I thought #### it and pushed it to see if i could get near @MadMatty 4870.

I had the thing running at 3 Ghz but it made almost no difference to the score, it stops scaling after 2700 Mhz, i think its because of the memory IC's, they are Samsung, they are actually only available of a couple of versions, all of them low end, i think the Hynix IC's on the Nitro+ are just better, they might run at the same frequency but i have a feeling the Hynix IC's have tighter timings.
I might try the tighter timings option in the drivers another time but for now... Its all she wrote, even pushing to 3.1Ghz will make no difference.

Thanks, oh the core will go even higher, these things clock like monsters, default boost clock is what... 2300? but as i said even with 2600 Mhz on the memory it stops scaling after about 2700, its still gaining a sizable leap in performance at that but @MadMatty 's Nitro+ still scales at 2.9Ghz, mine doesn't.

And that's fine, its the Nitro+, its the halo card, its going to have better memory IC's on it, you pay for what you get and even after learning this i'm still very happy with the card, its still my little beast and way better than the more expensive alternative. :)

Yeah my MSI 7900 XTX doesn’t perform as well at stock as rare’s 7900 XTX Nitro. I get 6485 and he gets 7089. You get what you pay for, my 7900 XTX was the cheapest available when I bought it, no regrets it’s still decent.

how much have you undervolted. I can go way above my stock OC undervolt and memory frequency with this benchmark. 2700 on the memory 950mV

This was a Vulkan run. All validated finally. Had to do it via the website.

What's a safe way to OC on afterburner for a 4080s ? I haven't fiddled with OC since my old EVGA 970 ftw3 a 100yrs ago, any links to a decent thread would be appreciated, thanks
