There isn't any way to write equations on line (well there is but that hasn't happened here). So for that to work. It would need to be written.
6/(2(3+3)), otherwise it's just bad grammar as otherwise there's no indication of where the (3+3) bit comes.

This isn't a quadratic equation though, the equation is. OT designed to have two answers and there's no reason for it to have two answer. It's is poor grammar(or what ever the maths equivalent is).

Agreed, it's a stupid question and there is no correct answer. The polish have some weird notation called RPN which is hilarious.

Weird... I got heckled by many a person on here the other day for mentioning how daft some people are for not being able to point out America, Japan and Europe on a map.... heh...

Again, just one of these things that people really ought to know...

In the last ocuk thread I remember, I said 18. It's in a single line and brackets aren't used to clarify and hence you go left to right.

However, some people started bringing in the idea that when you put 2x where x=3+3 you automatically make it the coefficient. They strictly differentiate this from 2*x where x=3+3. Seemed a bit of a tenuous argument to me.

No brackets - therefore

40+40=80
80x0=0
0+1=1

Equation = 1

Dimple - they may all be liars, but you should still vote. If you don't vote, you have no right to criticize the country about anything :)
