** 4K GAMING 1MS 60Hz MONITOR @ SUB £500 !!!!! ** (IN STOCK NOW)

Anyone interested to see how their setup will cope...fire up bf4, 1080 users set resolution scale to 200%, 1440 users to 150%. This gives a down sampled resolution of 4k.

From my own testing a pair of 780's handle bf4 at ultra 2xaa fine, though 4x smashes the vram limit.

Basically a pair of 290p/780 or above should give you a fairly pleasant gaming experience on 4k.

So if i get a single 290x first with the 4k monitor then the next month upgrade the cpu mboard and ram. Then the month after a new PSU and another 290x.

Sorted.

 GDI Gibbo!!!!!! Why couldn't you have posted this yesterday :(

I just recieved my new monitor today (ordered yesterday) and you've just gone and dun pee'd all over it

:) - That's a very nice monitor for the price - well dun ocuk - hats off to ya

Yes it can do that with two HDMI's connected, it splits the screen in half. Or you could run two computes, pretty neat feature that you'll most likely never use. :D

This could actually be pretty handy, having two computers plugged in, one on each half of the display.

Or you could have a Roku, Apple TV, Chromecast or Freeview box plugged in and get the tele on the other half.

What's this multi client thing some of you are talking about?

Will be buying a 4k monitor this year. But i need a VESA mount screen (27/28) at 60hz

Shame this isn't (As far as i can see VESA compatible) otherwise i may have clicked the order button!

In some MMO games, eve online especially some people will play multiple characters at once - to do so effectively you need to be able to run multiple instances of the game at decent resolutions spread over multiple monitors or 1-2 very high res monitors.

Far too early for me, when 4K res is mainstream in graphics cards ability I will jump at it!.

Edit: I thought OC had caught up with their pre taking pre-order monies, I know Gibbo said they still do earlier in this thread but its quite unreal in this age!

Have just been playing around on BF4 using a 200% resolution scale. Ultra settings with AA off was unplayable, but not the slideshow I was expecting, FPS was around 27 on Test Range when flying around in a Littlebird.

With everything set to low (apart from Mesh set to ultra) it was playable. I had a few 64 man conquest games on Zavod and Locker and got around 50 FPS. The FRAPS benchmarks I did put the average between 48 - 53 (lowest min was 37). VRAM wise according to GPU-Z the max VRAM usage was 1995mb, I suspect that I could exceed 2Gb if I was looking at lots of explosions.

So one would need 2x780s or 2x290s just to play on 4K on BF4?

You'd manage on a single one of those cards or even a pair of 3gb Tahiti cards, though for beefing up the image quality two 290p/780's should be a realistic minimum.

Having just sorted watercooling both 7950's - finally - I thought I was good for a few months but.......

Anyone any idea how these would cope with 4k?

They are great with 1440 :)

Well that's annoying LOL get home try and order the monitor and my credit card company seems to be blocking the transaction as unusually activity LOL.

Ill have to phone them in the morning :( You'd think with the amount I have bought over the years from overclockers they would realise its genuine.

Any idea how many units you will get?
Can't afford this atm and wondering what's the chance of getting one if I preorder in first week of May.
