4K gaming possible at full settings on todays hardware?

The problem with those screenshots is that you're technically zoomed in on it, so it isn't going to look great, especially on a 1920x1080 screen.

Horrible recording with ShadowPlay and I don't think it likes 4K yet :D Only records in 1080P but made it a little stuttery and not smooth at all. With ShadowPlay off, it is very smooth.

thanks restored my faith in graphical quality ! Guess zoomed in with such large images shows things far worse but the video shows it really for how it looks and feels.

ShadowPlay is horrible with recording in 4K and I would probably be better recording with my phone to show a better quality. I feel in fairness that people need to see 4K first hand and then see what is what. No point scrolling around a picture, as that defeats the object :)

anymore bench numbers?

Do you have Fifa 14 or NBA 2k14? I do play sports, I know they aren't taxing but would love to know how they look at 4k and if they take advantage of the higher res...

Also any updates on how blu rays look?

That's cool, I know a lot of PC gamers aren't huge into sports games, it is more of a console genre.

Just know I am checking in daily for updates! Since there isn't really much of anything out there as far as reviews and benches on 4k, I am interested in anything you have the time to do!

How long do you thing it'll be before your 2 Titans can't keep games at ultra with no AA above 35-40 frames where there is no big time stuttering?

I played with a 7950 at 1440p for a while at ultra/high on games and got in the 30s on demanding games and that was doable for me, so I'd be willing to go that low for a bit once games start tearing my duo 290s up

Acceptable frame rates for me are very much game dependent. Something like BF4, I like to have above 60 all the time but something like Batman/Thief, 40 fps is good. No idea how long my Titans will last but hopefully a while yet :)

That article is pretty old chap.

5 months is old now. Oh I feel ancient. :(

Indeed. When I review this one people are going to have to accept that seeing it first hand is the only way they are going to be able to appreciate the full 4K glory. You can't be shown anything on a lower resolution screen that would accurately represent the quality (or difference in detail levels). I'm sure I'll throw in a few pictures here and there because I know people like to look at pretty monitors showing a game, but this is something everyone will need to see for themselves. :)

I hope my 1440p screen holds its value just a little longer! I couldn't sell it now and wait 2 months!

If i sell that + my old 7970 lightning. It could pay for this screen or the AOC one. So want!
