5.0.1 untether JB is here

The one in the first post works fine for me

Just done it on my phone, I'm assuming its normal for Cydia to be the white icon and then come up with 'Preparing Filesystem' or have I done something wrong?

i think it does that the first time you did it. when i jailbroke original. to tethered 5.0.1 i had to reboot using redsn0w but i presume you wont :)

on a second note. Im trying to find corona 5.0.1 untethered in cydia but i can't find it any where. any one else having this problem. and yes, i have serached for it :)

Just JB'd my iP4, fairly painless. Looking forward to getting SBSettings and Fiveicondock back. Amazing how you miss little touches like those.

I've done mine (I had previously the semi-tethered state) and now it's running in safe mode. Disabled all my Cydia apps and I still can't get it into standard mode.

Not sure what else I can try?

Hit a bit of a snag after installing my Cydia apps using Aptbackup. Ended up with the 1/4 screen issue a few folk have been having. If this happens to you the popular solution which worked for me was to open SBSettings, select "Power" then "Safe Mode". Then respring from Safe Mode and the 1/4 problem should be gone. :)

I just successfully jb a ipod touch 4G which had 5.0.1

How do I go about JBing my iphone4 at 4.3.3 to 5.0.1 ? Do I just run redsnow and not tick anything? (as I already have cydia installed ? )

The way I did it was connect iphone to laptop, make a backup of the phone. Then I ran Aptbackup and backed up my Cydia apps. Then updated my iOS ( I was on 4.1 ) to 5.0.1. I then restored the phone from my backup in iTunes and when that was done, downloaded and ran Redsn0w. Ran Aptbackup to restore my Cydia apps and settings and when that was done, sorted out the 1/4 screen issue.

Cheers, doing that just brings up themes though?

I get this when I search for Corona :-

Did you do a fresh install of IOS 5.0.1? AFAIk (With my little knowledge) trying to do an untethered over a semi tethered will just break it.

ok cool --- but what about SHSH blobs do i need to worry about them ?

I need to remove my hosts entry to allow update from apple ?

If i aptbackup do i just run aptbackup again where does it keep the list of stuff?
any risk of putting stuff back on by mistake that won't work with ios5?

and what's the 1/4 screen issue?

thanks

I'm currently running 4.0 - Firstly would I see the big advantage with 5.0.1? Also is it the same process and detailed below?

I'm trying to download my cydia apps but my packages is out of date so reloading and downloaded the latest one brings up this:
