Actually I'm pretty much set on buying one. It depends how much "OcUK Tax" there is, as to where I buy from though.

Never had a top range card at launch before. Always gone for mid-low, sometimes 2nd hand. About time I treated myself :')

Very much doubt that. Otherwise they'd be hitting 1Ghz easily with a voltage increase, which is probably asking a bit too much!

And I used to be the same but there is a limit to how much I will pay.

Once you start looking at the fact that clock per clock in titles where SLI doesn't work (are there any?) a gtx470 is only going to be 10 to 15% slower than a gtx 580 but when SLI works it will be 30 to 40% faster (or even more) and they cost £70 less, you are almost paying on a £ per performance basis of over £200 which is too much.

I'm still going to wait on more reviews but I was expecting more. It's just a fixed 480 or what Fermi should have been a year ago.

Looks like I will be holding on to my 5870 for a while longer unless ATI pulls something special out of the hat which I can't see now.
