5870/5850 User Benchmarks, Thoughts & Feelings

Dont think there will be any difference from 1gb to 2gb versions unless you have a massive screen like 26-30" which then you would need 2 cards for anyway right? lol.

at all other resolutions i dont think it would make a difference

I know what you mean mate, seems very substantial and solid, built to last and a great example of new technology. The 8800GTX was the best card I ever owned and this has the potential to be right up there with it, especially if the performance increases as the drivers mature and DX11 takes off in a bigger way than DX10.

We're seeing AMD's influence on ATI now. AMD started off being quite amateurish compared to Intel and then came into their own with the Athlon. Now we're seeing the same thing with ATI. I just need to work out the best way to get a 2nd one in an Antec 900. :p
 
Do you lot mind if we have a separate thread for overclocking these bad boys? Maybe in the clocking and cooling section?
 
any one run there new ati with need for speed shift yet, is it any better, sorry if its allready been asked but these threads are really busy

minimum frames doesnt drop under 60fps.
