5th May UK regional elections discussion and results

I know nothing about Khan, other than the fact he is a Muslim. Does he go out of his way to tell people he is a Muslim or is it just the press **** stirring as usual?
Just interested as I don't think religion should have any part in politics.

It is called the British election system. You are entitled to vote. You can do postal or even proxy. If you do not vote then do not complain if you get something you do not like.
Repeat at all elections.

Sour grapes on a result you did not like.

Other than "omg man open your eyes it's obvious". I feel if it's obvious then you can put your objections into words.

Could you ever accept a Muslim Mayor of London? What would they need to do differently to Khan to gain your approval? Otherwise it seems like your sole objection to Khan being Mayor is the fact that he is a Muslim.
 
I'd class myself as centre right but I'm failing to get hysterical over this. It's such a non issue.
 
Shocked at the % turnout, best I saw was 29% for the police election. I know it wasn't a big one but still thought more would vote as it seems 71% of people didn't care who won, would they prefer to live under a dictatorship?

I dislike politics but still vote because I can.
