7970 Lightning, worth the premium?

Yarp.

I realise I'm sort of like, the ugly duckling of the thread with my 680, but there doesn't seem to be anyone else on ocuk that even has one, LOL.

Edit: I'd really prefer the aquacomputer full nickel block to the EK CSQ.
 
It's all good, I'm very interested on how the 680 variant clocks :)

I would say the A.C. blocks are likely to be full copper
 
The EK CSQ 7970 Lightning blocks looks pretty good in person. Much better than in pictures. This is one nice block.

Its getting depressing now, they were supposed to be available nearly 3 weeks ago.

Read back a few pages, Vega found a driver modification that allows you to push higher resolution and refresh rates over the single link DVI - I have done so and currently running full 120hz from the single link socket. iirc Vega is running his monitors at native res (1440p I think) @ 110hz.

I personally really like them, the build quality from Aquacomputer is second to none. Its just a shame they aren't as public and forthcoming as EK are with block suggestions. Would take a full copper aquagrafx block over the EK Acetal top any day.

That's good, from what I've seen they do look the biz :)
