hi tell me if im missing something here. These are dx9 results. You guys telling me you buying a brand new card to play a dx9 game.
I want to see real dx10 results with all settings on high screen res set to monitor limit (1680x1050 in my case).
If it's still performing! then i will understand all the commotion.
Until then you've got one of the best performing dx9 cards whoopee

Dont you realise no card is good for DX10 at this time, why do you think people will be buying the GT? DX9 or 10?, the answer is DX9.

Does this mean I'll be the first person on ocuk to have an 8800GT tomorrow? :O

I'd buy it just for that if that's the case then refund it and wait for the new GTX !*

*not ¬_¬

People who have played Bioshock in DX10 will argue different.

Jokester

Yea I played Bioshock in DX10 and it was fine and that was with a 2900XT lol, but still, looks same as DX9, I'm talking about DX10 like Crysis, Bioshock is hardly fully DX10.

I originally ordered a BFG 8800GT OC2 from OcUK but I've since swapped my order to just a regular OC as I dont want to wait until 9th November.

Am I likely to regret this? The speed of the OC2 did look tasty.

The way I'd do it..

Buy the cheapest brand, clock the nuts off it.

Enjoy

They're all from the same factory/production line

Aslong as you have a year or so warranty it will do.

Is it worth ditching my EVGA 8800GTS 320MB for the 8800GT? I play on a 19" monitor. How much faster is the GT? Also, would I be able to use the EVGA step up program to get a GT maybe?

Depends on wether you can be bothered.

The GT offers close to GTX performance.

If it was me I would ditch the 320mb but at that res its fine tbh.

Read some of the reviews posted on this site. In short the gt is almost as fast as a gtx in some games so its way faster than a gts. If you can fetch a good price for your gts which a good few people on here have then yea go for the upgrade.

Cool thanks. I'm wondering do you think they'll be a drought on these cards, I mean if there that good will there be shortages over the next few weeks as people scramble to get them?
