8800GT Stock?

HI there

Confirmation of several hundred EVGA 8800 GT Superclock with Crysis arriving on Thursday this week. Enough to clear all backorders at present.

Now we've been let down before but this sounds good and lets hope they do arrive on time and are the actual Crysis editions.

Also OcUK 8800 GT's in tomorrow as well.

Hi there

Yes were still shifting 400+ GTX per week! Old style GTS sales are now nearly dead. 8600/8500 series absolutely fly out!

HD 3870 and HD 3850 are very good sellers and X1950's really fly out the door. The 2900's are a bit slow but we have minimal amount left.

I was wondering about what suppliers are going to do with G90 8800GTx/ultra/GTS and below.. unless they are on sale-or-return with the distributors!

The only way to shift these would be to drop the prices..

Sweet, glad I went for this one then. Placed my order on Sunday along with a couple Samsung Pebbles. Do you think I'll be covered by the batch arriving on Thursday?

This is true. I'd been thinking about my machine upgrade for the last three or four months, and had pretty much decided on GTS. It was only when I came to start ordering at the start of the month that I heard about the 8800GT - nothing in CustomPC mag for example! A lot of buyers will simply go with a recommendation or promotion.. a classic economists' imperfect market :D

I thought a good idea would be to have a look at the first post in the 3dmark scores thread in this forum, find those with the 8800GT at the clock closest to yours, and cpu closest to yours, and compare.

For example:
11144 |Neal | intel e2160 @ 2997mhz | nvidia 8800gt 512mb @ 702/1900
11001 | Tystar | intel e4400 @ 3125mhz | nvidia 8800gt 512mb @ 663/959
10075 | El Jimben | amd opteron 170 @ 2808mhz | nvidia 8800gt 512mb @ 625/900

For example, the above are quite close to my pc (in sig) so I'd expect my score to be similar as well (crosses fingers!)
