8800GT Stock?

Any chance you can look at my order please Gibbo? :) If I won't be getting a Zotac for some reason I'd like to split the order, or remove the 8800GT from the order to get things delivered...
 
I just spoke to a nice chap called Thomas on the phone. There are 14 out of 15 remaining Zotac's allocated. So looks like us already waiting have one, it's just the clearing of the backlog and getting them shipped out...
 
Ordered all new system parts saturday. Arrived today with a shiney GT :)
Can't use it until crimbooo though!

:( damn.

Atleast i think i'm the only person to have done the washing up with a q6600 in my dressing gown pocket? :p Quad core washing up is the way forward.
( in its' tiny oem box ofcourse )
 
Now I'm confused!

Rang up just now to cancel my order for the Zotac to be told that I should be getting one and not all were allocated when I had ordered (the 25th). :confused:

Gibbo it would be a massive help if you can check if one is allocated for me as I have an opportunity elsewhere to get something similar.

Mine is shipping but was ordered on (edit)22nd.. is your order status "Warehouse queue" or "printed at warehouse" ?

If queue then it looks like it has not been allocated from batch (yet)

I would second that completely. I am a new customer to OCUK as you were one of the few suppliers to even have a decent selection of 8800GT listed, let alone in stock! The changes to delivery dates were frustrating but of course outside of your control.

A few suggestions for whoever designs your system (from someone who writes these for a living!)... a few options on existing orders would have saved your webnote and telephone team a lot of manual effort:

1) (important one) - use the NEWS page for stock/delivery updates for things like 8800GT situation? It would save yourselves having to keep answering the same questions repeatedly in the forums!

2) ability to cancel an order that is still "in queue"
3) ability to cancel individual items from an order (provided they are not allocated/packed etc.)
4) ability to add new items from the basket to an order that is not printed/complete*

*not critical as you could cancel and re-order, but lose the place in the queue

I notice other retailers now have stock of the EVGA 8800GT KO cards (675/1950).

Bearing in mind the bother you have had with EVGA, are you getting some of these in and the SCC cards?

woo, got back from two hours of dull lectures to find my zotac has been shipped, Thanks OCUK for your efforts
Seems they went backwards from the most recent order to the older orders inside the assigned orders (if that makes sense) so if you're getting annoyed cos you ordered before people who have theirs shipped then hang tight, I'm betting it'll be despatched today (Altho, to be fair that's easy for me to say now)
 
Custom PC have a review of the Asus 8800gt in the January edition.( Subscribe and you get a few days early)

Ref 3dMark 2006 mark - I run with Opteron 185 clocd at 2.79 ; Zotac 8800GT at its standard speeds; 2gb of ballistic ddr running at 430(3,3 etc) on an Asus A8N32 m-board and get 10,074.(06' running at standard settings)
 
took the day off work today to wait for my new kit that was ordered on 13/11.
Once the BFG OC2 cards finally arrived in stock i thought my £800 order would be one of the first to be packed and shipped... started getting worried around 6pm yesterday when the order status had not changed, so i sent a webnote asking if the order would be shipped and when it would arrive.

I finally got the shipping email at 8.02pm last night, and a webnote reply this morning stating that my order was shipped and would be delivered today.
But according to the order tracking, it seems citylink have trouble getting from Stoke to Liverpool in a day (70/80 miles?), so my order spends another night in a depot somewhere in Widnes i guess.

so a days holiday has been wasted, and i now i need to find someone else to sit and wait for this lot to arrive tomorrow :(

Couldn't agree more, its my second order with you and Im very impressed. I hope all the staff are on a good 'units shipped' bonus cos you deserve it!
