8800GT Stock?

I may be wrong, but actually, i can't see why it wouldn't have the date your card is shipped on, as the invoice will get printed to send out with your card, i can't see it getting printed say 3x weeks before your card is instock to get shipped to you, so the order date should be the date its sent out, im getting myself :confused: now. :p

Same here (almost), ordered an Asus 8800GT very early this morning - website said there was 10+ in stock. Phoned at lunchtime to check it was alright, was told it would dispatch today. Just arrived home 5 minutes ago to find my order is still in the warehouse queue! :mad:. Have to wait now until the morning before I can phone to cancel/amend the order for another card.

Haha, see this is what happens, I'm never preordering a card again...spent a couple of hours last night figuring out whether I've gone for the right card or not!

I presume it would be the date it's shipped out and I'm going off on one for no reason, it's just me passing the time really. ;)

(Reason for wanting the Step-Up thing is in case I decide not to OC and upgrade to the KO version, or if the new GTS is announced..just gives a bit of scope really)

They may still be in the process of getting orders packed up for shipping. :)

If you ordered early this morning, and they did have a fair few in stock, then i can't see why it wouldn't ship today.

Higher 3dmark than I thought with my system, with a bit of oc'n i'm hoping for 10k, just like to add my current XP install is a mess
 
CityLink returned mine to the depot with a "The goods have been returned to the branch after an unsuccessful delivery attempt." notice on the website.

As it's being delivered to an office full of people (although not me, today), I find that amazingly unlikely, especially as I've had no problems with deliveries there in the past (including my whole new rig from OcUK just over a year ago...)

Grr. I'll be in tomorrow. They'd better bring it then.

You have a similar PC specification to mine? Just out of interest, what graphics card did you have before?

I've just had my Zotac "standard edition" delivered to me today, though frustrated that I cannot install it until I get back home on Friday... I believe my X1900XT got about 5000 3DMarks... so that's quite a big leap?
 
Well, my BFG 8800GT OC2 512MB arived at 11am and dispite watching the van driver kick somebody elses package out of the way to get mine, it all works :D
Running with:
Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.40GHz (4 CPU's)
Asus P5N32-E SLi Motherboard
4GB OCZ Reaper RAM
and now the BFG 8800GT OC2 512MB
Giving a 3DMark06 score of 11518 and the ability to run Crysis in Extra High DX10.

A word of warning, if you are realy going to push this card, make sure you manualy set the fan speed to 100%, as I left it on Auto and it was reaching 71 degrees Centigrade and caused the card to stop working for a few seconds. The fan is a tad loud when spinning at 100% but put your headphones on and you cant hear it :)
