970's having performance issues using 4GB Vram - Nvidia investigating

Thanks. Yeh i have done the usual, tried reinstalling drivers, tried different nvidia drivers, tried a complete reinstall of the OS, done malware scans and I know it's the GPU because my onboard GPU works fine. Will overclockers replace my card on this info or would i need to do more troubleshooting? I think the card has a factory built in overclock but i would not know where to start in underclocking it.

Have you tested your power supply? I had similar issues a while ago with my PSU and my HD7850. It kept happening, I tested the PSU in another rig and it did the same. Unfortunately, by that point it'd already fried the GPU and it had to be returned :(

Video I made for it:

Crash happens a minute or so in.

i don't mind mostly play csgo anyway at low settings that uses 700~800 memory, and if i play something else i lover settings a little bit to achieve 100+ fps , witcher 3 probably no one will be able to max out so will have to wait for next years gpus.

I guess you also confused.. Here some links showing you that my point still stands they isn't enough in it that the avg gamer would notice.

Some results here show different story to what you shown.

You have grabbed some really old games and we are now in 2015.... Just stop!

I assume the actual details of whatever they're going to offer will be decided today with people having until the end of February to take them up on the offer.
They've already said certain cards (OCUK ones etc.) can be returned, if you no longer want it. I believe he will be confirming today what the status is on MSI, Asus, Gigabyte and Palit, as he's still waiting to see if they'll support returns. He's said if they don't, they'll still sort something out though.

As a side note i assume instead of returning via post you can just turn up in person with an item and they have a returns counter in the shop? I live fairly close, well an hour away, but have friends there locally i wouldnt mind seeing, so can kill two birds with one stone and not be without a card!

I don't see why not, but I'd call them to ask first. Definitely the preference if it stops you going card-less.

Lol, and so was most the games you shown.. And like I said before they isn't much in it that without benchmarking you would not notice any different.

We all know Intel is faster, that isn't what am saying, what I am saying is would you honestly notice a difference in most them bench results.

Anyway leave this here..

I wouldn't underclock it as that’s how the card came; I meant any additional overclocking you may have done as it should always work at whatever it comes out the box with.

As someone suggested it could be a PSU issue and if you have the opportunity to test the card in another PC that may be worth it, if not then then it depends on how long you’ve had the card.

If it’s within a certain time frame then you would contact the retailer and setup a RMA, they may ask you to run a couple of tests prior to sending it back, once returned they will probably test the card themselves. If you’ve had it longer you’ll have to go via the Warranty holder, who will do the same.

Just make sure you give whoever your sending it back as much info as possible, the more they have the closer they can try and recreate the issues as close to your own setup and get you a working product asap.

Nice testing. Not sure if I missed something?

No, I showed the most recent games and yes, in a lot of those games you are going to see a difference between running a intel CPU or an AMD CPU on a high end "Single" GPU.

Good call on leaving it there. This is certainly not a good place for this discussion and like I said, there is a lot of confused people already and this isn't helping.
