The judge of whether the cards are valued right are if they'll sell.

I would say not considering you can pick up an infinite black for £281 new with full warranty, so a smidge more that the lower level Galax card, or £40 cheaper than the EVGA B-stock...

But there you go! Who's to say! Some people might still see them as a bargain!

They're having a laugh with those 970 prices in clearance

OcUK are treading on thin ice too, all B grade cards are advertised having their full 2/3/5 year warranties in the product descriptions too-despite OcUK's 90 day warranty.

Might have a job selling that BG 970FTW at the same price as retail.

It's being reported that 970's returned to manufacturers will be sold as new so the customers won't know, some will get a fully raggedguaranteed gpu anyway.

Surely that's a big no no legality wise ?,dumping used cards back in the chain this way is a sure fire way to get more bad publicity.

It might be breaching laws but you've got to be pretty naive to believe that it doesn't happen a lot in online retail, worst case scenario the buyer suspects it's not new and with no solid evidence returns it, eventually it'll be sold to a buyer that's non the wiser. It's not like you can take them to court as any wear and tear can be blamed on you, probably need to film yourself receiving/opening it to have any sort of legal case and even then it's not going to worth taking them to court.

I'm sure there's a GALAX GTX970 in that list that's the same price as a brand new one in "This Week Only". Even if the brand new one wasn't on offer this week, it would only cost about a fiver more.

Mmmm, pay the same price (or maybe just a few £ less) for a returned item with 3 months warranty, or choose the one with a full 2 years warranty that hasn't been opened ?

It's a tough one.

You mean the product description in a big red box below the disclaimer that said description is there for reference only and any mention of warranties is to be ignored? :P
