I know they're up to the task I'm just not quite sure I want to go 4k just yet.

1600p isn't exactly low res, but hey I just found a Acer for £330 that's apparently 60hz 4k. So I could well go 4k after all :)

With a DP, like all cheaper midrange 4k monitors, like we said in your donkey thread.
Unlike your 65" tv you thought was a monitor because it stated 120hz on the box lol.

It is a monitor it clearly has MONITOR written on the box.

It doesn't have a tuner, that's how they keep the costs down, so it's a monitor and it's 120hz at 1080p

Old trick, but then I didn't buy it for my PC I bought it for my house.

And yes, after doing extensive research it would appear there are plenty of 4k screens out there now that fit in my budget and can do 60hz. Which changes things...

Still not decided mind.

Get a beautiful 27 inch 1440p PLS :D

Had a reply from OCUK about my cards and they're told me to fill out an RMA request??

I only sent them a message asking what there stance is on the issue and they tell me to request RMA?

Standard protocol, when they test them and find no fault they will send then back to you with admin charges on top.

If there is an issue, PCPer will get to the bottom of it. I am a green fanboy and applaud them for going at it.

As for the talk about high end/mid/low, leave that for another debate please chaps :)

I laughed, Im not sure if it was fitted with HDMI2.0 but let's just say, if it was he reckons it was broken as his Titan Blacks only do 30th ;) (don't tell him)

The 4k port doesn't work with anything plugged into it. It's faulty, very common apparently. It's supposed to drop to 1080p and HDMI 1.4 but with the TV box plugged in there's no display.

The PC picks it up as a 4k monitor but I get no display, same problem.

Thanks for your concern though.

Come on guys it is not the end of the world.:)

Shouldn't be standard if all he did was ask them for their opinion on this rather then say he has a fault?

I asked the same thing today and was just told they were waiting on NVidia to give up more information, so unless he said his cards were broken I don't see why they would ask him to do a RMA.
