Here's another reason why I don't like certain things about this game.

How the hell can I be kicked from a game for saying **** when the rest of the players were ****** & blinding non-stop? It doesn't seem fair that I get kicked for that when I'm on a roll and a guy in a helo kept calling me a **** for shooting him down.

was trying to help the fella out with why his stats wouldnt update ..... but I guess now he dont want to give this info out for some reason so I'll call it a News...night on the matter

Don't know if this has already been posted.

Digital Illusions has about 5 million upcoming Battlefield projects in the works (ok, it's just four but it seems like 5 million at times). But the development teams continue to update two of their earlier games; Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142. This week the official Battlefield web site has posted up word that new patches for the game are in the world (1.50 for Battlefield 2 and 1.51 for Battlefield 2142).

The update will include an all new map, Operation Blue Pearl, that's designed for both games to be a tight infantry city based level. It will also include some kind of beach landing, a la the Omaha Beach level in Battlefield 1942. Open beta testing for the patch and map should begin soon.

Just had a bash on bf2 on my new 24" using some of the widescreen tweaks and fixers. Looks so cool.

If you're looking at anything with "Azagoth" in the name then I'm afraid you don't. I don't use this moniker for online gaming.

Play PR for it instead, the games last hours sometimes and you will forget what a garden is

If you install PR, does it affect vanilla BF2 in any way?

Does PR have it's own settings and stuff? Can I uninstall it without messing around with vanilla BF2?

I'd go with having two separate BF2 installs if I was you as it Borked my BF2 vanilla getting me kicked of servers within minutes for modded content, Only a Complete fresh install got me back on the Battlefield.

You can install bf2 twice over in two directories, its an old game and I guess 5gb isnt so much any more

The PR mod is about another 5gb on top of that, it doesnt interfere with vanilla afaik but then I dont ever play vanilla any more since it is another game and I prefer the less arcadey style of pr, you need voip though as its too big a game to solo in

If want more bf2 style then AIX is a good mod, you get to plow down bots with big guns like they were zombies

The general settings would be shared unless you setup a separate profile. PR is more demanding, it could trouble a gtx but again most would be able to handle that now
