A battlefield2 thread

Well this just gets worse :S Game finally arrived, installed, patched up, updated punkbuster, we're online and rocking! Yay! Er... no. I can't see to stay in any game longer than 5 minutes before having a problem with my connection. I Alt+tab out, and Firefox wont connect to anything. Give it about 45 seconds and we're back as normal.

My router is giving me grief anyway this just seemed to severly exacerbate the problem. If anyone has any tips for what I can do to a Netgear DG824M to get it to play ball, I would greatly welcome them. It works fine in COD4 though!

They did, but they still have an online store - but its run by some other companies - they are 'propping it up' so to speak.

Had a few games earlier, but when I tried to play 1.41, I just got a global GUID ban error (this is a friends old copy, so not surprised). 1.0 works fine online though :)

i bought two copies of the complete pack for mates @ £5 from the green supermarket last year.. ive had BF2 since release but thanks :D

the complete pack is readily available from most online retailers for buttons, great value for money!
 
Here are Three 64 man Infantry only servers I am Not banned from, How long that will last for I am not sure but as it stands I have played on these in the last few nights so they show on my list & I am not banned. :D
Don't seem to get Banned as often on Infantry only servers :confused:

Anyway,

MOOF Infantry.

ATG 24/7 Infantry.

CANDYS Infantry.

Get in a Squad as soon as you join as Death awaits those that roam alone. :p

You get All sorts of games on these servers though so don't expect the same round after round. Stick with it, Try to form a decent squad & Teabagg every **** you can. :D
Except me of course I Am your Friend. :p
 
Well 3 hours later, a lot of extensive Googling, disabling firewalls, re-enabling firewalls, updating things, setting CPU affinity, kicking, screaming, and general cursing.. I still don't have a copy of BF2 that will let me play online for longer than 5 minutes.. I didn't think 4 whole years on this would be as buggy as i'de previously heard :( Oh well, better luck tomorrow perhaps!

I joined the OcUK x-fire. Anyone who plays should join also so we can see when people are playing

Well no reply or updates from them and i've uninstalled the game , it really puts me off buying games when this happens and nobody gives a toss... Not talking about you ;)

I can sort you out with a new copy of you want in the next week or two.

If you want to sort me out with maybe the P+P and maybe a £1 for Mc Donalds :) I got a spare copy of BF2 at home

If you Hate EA then don't worry :)

It's looking awesome. I love the emphasis on Team play (can't get kits if not in a squad etc.)

:D:D Full pack just arrived in the post this morning - speedy delivery!

Just installing everything, looking forward to playing :)
 
BETA2 has too few servers.

A lot of hyperthetical improvements but it's a bit broken as wel. PunkBuster constantly gives a Windows API 131152 error in Windows7/Vista for me, therefore it's unplayable.
