This game was built around teamwork .... and when its carried out it just cant be touched .... as for the SA80 nice choice m8 stick it on single shot and with the zoom you got yourself (within range) a 30 shot sniper rifle :D
 
Anyone here recommend some UK Based servers?

I've been playing on USA Servers (with clan mates) and have slowly lost to will to live by trying to play with 150+ Ping.

Preferably anything goes servers.. (not infantry only)
 
Are most servers still "this map only" ? I hate it when games go that way, i turns me off the game, i like sitting in a server and playing through a whole bunch of maps :( Its the same with CS, every single bloody server is either dust/dust2 with some stupid sodding admin sounds *HEADSHOT*, (yeah thanks im playing CS not UT), or crappy custom maps. COD4 on the 360 was great with my mates, partied up and just got playing, plenty of variety and good times.

Yeah forgot about them .... though I thought they were Dutch based ? hardly matters if ping is good :)

fair point but when it comes to running a server people tend to go with what is gonna draw in the most people ... hence most pop. map

Mine too, apart from the Gotland servers. I don't even fly the aircraft (can't be bothered waiting around) but still think the air maps are better. Gets too boring playing Karkand/Jalabad all the time.
 
Mm I like a mixed rotation personally. If anyone knows some decent, populated UK servers, please post them! I'm not bothered too much whether its infantry only or not, both seem to be quite fun but I think vehicles spice up the game a little :]

Not so keen on the larger maps where its all vehicle based and no gunfights though :(
 
I like decent map rotations too, but the majority of people dont. Most players now are either pilots/helo fans, Armour Whores or Inf Only fans. And these people dont like each other and dont get along.

To have a good game, you need a group of like minded players, who play like yourself. And there's not many people out there that like to fly planes, sit in armour or run around on foot. So when you mix maps with different play styles, they sadly just dont work, people dont stay.

The true battlefield concept died years ago, now BF2 is like 3 different games, catering for 4 different types of player. The 4th type of player, is the guy who likes to play all 3 roles.

Karkand caters for 3 out of the 4 types of player, so thats why its the most popular.
 
My clan got a server again. ITs SF 85.236.101.60:17167 . After 4 graphics cards nothing matches this game, even after 3 years the graphics are still holding out, not the textures though.

BEst team game since sex.
 
I just got my copy shipped, and i am absolutely gutted i didnt catch this the first time around!

are there any servers where i could catch players such as yourselves? I am absolutely clueless atm, but i have played many a fps. On the asian servers (Im in Korea atm.) i cannot communicate with anyone and it seems less team orientated.

So, if anyone knows of a server that wouldnt have an awful ping it would be appreciated.
