Was usmanov known to be dodgy like abramovich has been from day one?

Difference is I wouldn’t be trying to defend him and sing his name like Chelsea fans are doing with Roman.
I didn’t know the full strength of what was going on with Usmanov with Russia and Putin, I still don’t completely, I naively thought he was just a rich man.
Luckily, the board knew full well what he was like and locked down so he couldn’t own the club outright. It was engineered so that he could never fulfill that ambition. That’s why he used to openly publish letters criticising the board and hoping to get the fans on his side and push hard for him, Eventually he realised there was no way it would ever happen and sold up to Kroenke.
Also, Arsenal have worked on a self sufficient model for a long time, they’ve never been financially doped like Chelsea have, so I think it’s ridiculous to compare the two.

It's starting to become amusing. How someone can just bury their head in the sand and pretend like nothing is going on.
I've not spoke to anyone out there yet but the French police have previous concerning English fans so I'll hold judgement on the fighting.

You are taking the mick now, surely? The man is literally involved in talks between Russia and Ukraine. Even if you ignore the comment by the FT journo, what on earth is Abramovich doing there if, as you believe, he has no connection to the Kremlin? Has he gone full Gazza on us and there's a fishing rod and bucket of chicken out of shot that we can't see?
