Acer Nitro XV273KP - 4K 120/144Hz G-sync Compatable certified

I'm fairly sure its a 2 year warranty, ill check if its on the paperwork tomorrow.

still, 3 would be better at this price, but Acer still class it as consumer/prosumer I think

any luck confirming the warranty?

also, what picture mode, brightness etc are you using on it?

how are you finding it now after using it for a number of days?

backlight bleed/IPS glow issues?

did you not read the earlier posts in this thread? should clear it up for you where the confusion is coming from, I believe it to be two years myself

warranty card is 2 years, so that's as expected. zero bright dots pixel guarantee for 3 months.
HDR and freesync don't work at the same time, would be awesome if that could come with a FW update but not holding my breath. Demo 4k HDR downloaded videos do look super sharp and really nice colours when played through madVR filters etc. overall the screen is quite bright when used in a darkened room so have the brightness down at 30 or so most of the time.
backlight bleed/ ips glow is definitely there and the corners do show on scene transitions etc and is probably the biggest thing holding back the overall screen. watching night time or dark scenes it does not really show the quality as much as you would hope for a premium panel.

I did have a good blast on doom 2016 though, 4k freesync at 100-120 fps and its was LAG free and explosions looked super sharp. roll on doom eternal :)

overall happy & more gaming to be done next week. I have the house to myself for 2 weeks so planing some movie/gaming sessions cranked up.

good thread from some owners with a chart breakdown on the xv's capabilities at 1440p/4k, it seems the monitor needs a firmware update to enable 4K & HDR at upto 120hz at the same time, which currently does not work but is written in the manual that it should

thanks for the link - reading it now.

my thought was that 10 bit HDR at 120 was beyond the bandwidth of 1 DP cable, hence why the Gsync 4k144 screens offered 98Hz options at 10bit. My understanding it the dual cable would not offer the freesync support either . will have to keep and eye on it.. :)

hows the colour reproduction on this monitor? i have a 2 monitor gaming/work, one being the BenQ PD2700U 4K HDR. This could be an ideal solution for both, and the fact i can change the res to 1440 and get 144hz is huge.

colours seem v good, I'm not an expert but I'm more than happy with photos and movies for casual stuff. probably fine for semi pro as well. will be paying the extra £2 for Netflix as well and see how that all looks.

when setting HDR on the monitor OSD it disables freesync for me, so thats not working. you can send a 10 bit 60Hz signal though without going into the HDR profile so that may offer some benefit. I cant get 86HZ 10 bit either, have set custom res and can apply the refresh rate, but as soon as i select 10bit RGB and hit apply it tries and then falls back to 8 bit.

happy with 120 8bit thoough, will try shadow of the tome raider later and see how the GPU holds up for that.

Is that with a single hdmi cable?
