Presumably it is too early in the games life to expect a trial client? like the 7/14 day ones you get for WOW or EVE?

Yeah I was thinking the same, I would like to trial this but because of its popular launch I'm not sure if they will? Does anyone know if WoW offered one at the start?

I ordered from one place then cancelled my order, but they sent me a code for a Rhino mount anyway.

I've just received my copy which I ordered from another place and it says it has a code for a war mammoth mount.

Does this mean I get two mounts? :D

It seems from reading a few posts here that Jersey will send me my Rhino code. Umm I now have the game box from them - thanks, but no Rhino code. Should I have this already? Or are they yet to be sent out?

Mine didnt come with a mount code even though i bought inside the date for preorder :(

Ahh - really?

Well that is a big pile of carp.

When I log into my AoC account and click on view my subscription, it has detailed under 'Your products' two symbols - one for the early access and one for the Rhino.

This is a funcom run system, so they can check it themselves - I better get that frackin mount. I do not want to have to do a wow and save up 80/100 gold of what ever it was to get one of the sods - took me ages in WoW!!!!

I phoned them earlier because I am also having slight problems with their email service, and I got in contact with a very friendly chap that was more than willing to talk to me at length about the Age of Conan release and how they're going about it...

Basically, their email system is suffering a huge backlog as of the past couple days because they received a nice big supply of the game and were more focused on shipping the games and getting them out of their warehouse so that people could play on the release date (May 23rd). Because the codes have to be manually typed out via email (i.e. there is no automated system for sending out mount-codes or cd-keys)- they currently have a backlog as their focus was primarily on getting the game to the consumer. Which I think is more than fair enough! I didn't even receive a usual customary email saying the order had been dispatched, even though the website informed me that it was posted yesterday... so their email systems are clearly a little behind :)

Oh and insider-information that was personally relayed to me RE: in-game mounts informs me that the mounts are not priced on a 'WoW Strategy'. In other words, you don't have to halt your leveling progress to spend 2 weeks monotonously grinding in-game currency for a mount; they are appropriately priced and instantly-accessible to the average player, as soon as you meet the requisite level(s) of 40/80.

Cheers for the info mate. I will put the swearing tyrade I had loaded on a back burner and give them a week.

Fair enough explanation from Jersey and if you look way further back in thread (a few weeks ago) you will see how I questioned this whole early access code thing and how it was gonna work. One of the options I put down was that the retailer would have to do it, but then reasoned that there e-mail systems would not be up to it and it shouldn't be expected of them anyway and so dimissed the option. Turns out I was a tiny bit right. ;)
