any one ever showed id just to get accused of stealing some one else's id?

i was told my provy driver licsence wasn't mine even though my picture was on it.... (needless to say i was raging stormed back to house and grabbed all my id then handed it all over and said is this enough id.... then i shouted that i didnt appreciate of been made to look like i stole some one else's id)

had a nice big que behind me on both times.

my mate has also been accused of stealing some ones passport just because he showed his passport when he got id'd and they said his picture wasnt him....

I didn't say there's anything wrong with it as i drink regularly. I'm saying it's silly that that they have these tight regulations which inconveniences adults and yet minors can still get served it.

Not just adults, I'm inconvenienced too because I always have to show my id to get alcohol but imo the regulation like it is in the UK is just silly: Why should light alcohol like beer be illegal for 16&17 year olds?

the legal drinking age should be raised imho.

as it stands if someone who is 16/17 cnt get served and wants to get ****** they probly have 18year old mates who can get served and buy it for them, there less likely to have 21year old mates.

I believe the legal age for purchasing alcohol should be 20.

How do you know for sure the chav's won't cause trouble without alcohol ?
In the NL and Belgium ( I think in belgium anyhow, not sure, but im sure about the NL anyhow ) the legal age for light drinks ( upto 15% alc) is 16 and I don't really hear much about us causing trouble because of this.

Here atm it's still not illegal for even younger kids to have and drink alcohol or own it, but it will be soon due to new plans from gov, under 16's will get a fine if seen on the street while carrying alcohol.

I see no reason why people should be allowed to smoke marihuana legally yet not even be able to buy a beer at 18 ?

still means less ppl will be getting drunk, becasue it'd be harder for younger ppl that currently drink to get it.

Why is getting drunk neccesarely a bad thing ?
It's not that 16 year olds are allowed to drive or anything, only danger is to themselves really imo.

16: Tabacco and alcohol below 15%
18: Weed, psycic mushrooms and hasj and alcohol above 15%.
