They don’t look after their customers when they get rid of useful features like the headphone jack. No chargers bundled and previously no rapid charger you less you pay more. Locking products down so you lose key features if you use them with other brands. Then the port supposedly going.. they make decisions that negatively impact the user so they can boost sales of products like this then somehow manage to fool fanboys in to think it’s because they are courageous, it is embarrassing.

Yet when other companies do the exact same it's ok? Who includes a headphone jack from the big companies now (out of curiosity) and Samsung have already confirmed they're removing chargers, so it's not just Apple - they've also never once mentioned the port going, this is pure speculation and rumour.

Apple customer service being amazing is very hit and miss. You will see plenty of people being left high and dry. Take a look at Louis Rossman’s videos if you want to know more about how apple shaft their customers.

If you take your facts about Apple's CS from Louis Rossman, just LOL - has he taken down all of his videos where he flat out lies, contradicts himself and just get's thing plain wrong?

The only reason you might think these are good for the apple ecosystem is because they removed the headphone jack so you needed wireless headphones. Wired headphones worked amazingly well so they have just created a problem to solve like they usually do.

What? Wireless headphones were a thing a long time before Apple did anything to the port... With this line, you've just proven that all you are is an Anti-Apple shill.

Lots of impressions out there now. Basically would like a pair but
A) going to wait till the price drops a bit like other AirPods, HomePods etc
B) need time for 3rd party cases to come out because the ‘bra’ is gash

As said before, Apple started taking audio a bit more seriously a few years ago and have the ex-head of B&W at the helm of their acoustic engineering division, so between that and the no-doubt huge R&D money they have to throw around I’d have been disappointed if they didn’t sound compelling.

Did I say it was ok for other companies? They are your words not mine. It is easy to point the finger at other companies like a child points at order naughty children when they get in trouble.

The pattern of Apple releasing info about removing features to gauge reaction is clear. It has Apple written all over it but time will tell.

Your last line makes you sound like a child. Of course Bluetooth already existed ffs, the point is that removed the port to boost the sale of Bluetooth headphones, it’s not difficult to understand. And anti-apple shill, LOL what a clown. I have spent over £2k in the last two or so years on Apple tech. Some of us can be objective, you clearly cannot.

They seem like good headphones based on the reviews, both sound quality and ANC is upto par of the competition. But pretty much every review Ive seen put them on the level of the XM4's and Bose, with the Airpods Max coming out ahead in some areas, and the others being better in other areas (depending on the reviewer)

So for a pair of headphones they are good, but for the price they just arent worth it when there are cheaper options which can do the same if not a better job (in my opinion anyway)

Also the fact that they dont support LDAC is bad as well, because its far far superior to AAC.
Too bad most the reviews don't mention that (I wonder why...)

If you check the link in my last post at the top of the page you'll see that there are quite a few people that think they rank a lot higher than that, and some of these guys have some pretty highend headphone gear.

I think these could be the real deal, I think apple could have really made a product here that disrupts the headphone market, the fact that you have people considering selling their HD6XX's is mind blowing.

We still need to wait for a general consensus from the 'audphile' community but some of these early impressions are scary and exciting.

This thread on Head-fi is an interesting read,

It looks like Apple may of actually created a good quality wireless headphone that doesn't sound like the typical muddy v-shaped stuff out there, I just want to hear how these compare to the THX Panda wireless now.

I did check that out and its interesting. However whilst they might sound better on the higher sounds, they don't have quite the same bass level as the sony's. I prefer heavier bass overall.

Either way though, i cant see myself spending almost double for them over the sony's. But saying though, I may hold off on getting any pair of headphones at the moment and just wait to see what the next gen bose and sony's do

Managed to get a pair for pickup for my dad for Christmas, may try them out before he gets them :p

For once I'm not even tempted for myself though, despite the surprisingly good reviews, they aren't that much better than my XM3's to warrant the cash

Probably because 99% of people who will buy them won’t listen to the kind of music where there was an effort to maximise recording and mastering quality and they’d be an audible difference + most modern music is so over-produced and digitised that you’re not losing much if anything with compression (plus stuff like Hi-Res audio is a scam anyway).

Also part of ‘the job’ is integration with iOS/Mac OS and anything AirPod is obviously leagues ahead of anything non-Apple, which is a huge part of why people buy them in the first place.
