What’s everyone’s opinions on the AirPods Max? For the past couple of weeks I’ve been hankering a pair, for ease of use, ease of connection as all my devices are Apple. However I know there are better ones out and about for the price.

Me and my wife both have a pair now. No doubt there are others that are as good for less but it's the integration and switching between devices that is worth it for me.

I paid full price for mine but managed to get my wife's for £285 refurbished which was a great price and they look new!

Where from please mate?

Waiting for an excuse to buy the Max as I know I'd get my use out of them but I'm still happy with my iPhone 14 Pro and that doesn't have USB C. I'd only benefit with it from my iPad at the moment

I'd be surprised if anyone bought these because they were best-in-class for audio. For me it's all about the ecosystem and how seamless it is for me to swap between my mac, ipad, iphone without doing a thing.

I'm actually quite surprised with how good the non-Apple headphones are for switching between devices. Not as good obviously but better than expected.

I've got a pair of Samsung Galaxy Buds+ that I occasionally use with my Samsung Galaxy S25. They do the job so I've not bothered upgrading.

I have a pair and they sound pretty good to my ears, one thing I don't like about them is condensation gets inside the ear cups so you have to wipe and clean them often. I also use mine with my MacBook and windows laptop for gaming via a bluetooth connection and they sound better than the Bose NC 700 and steel series arctic nova pro so am using them 70% of the time which makes them worth it. however my ears do need a breather after wearing them for a few hours.

are there any headphones out there that sound better than them and also have active noise cancelling? the ANC are very good on these

I know Apple will always push their own cables but does it matter what type of USB C cable you use to connect so that you get lossless does anyone know?

My AirPods Max became faulty and the sound became muzzled, potentially due to liquid damage due to condensation build up within the earcups after prolonged usage, sometimes the condensation/sweat would leak out from the microphone

The technician looking at it seemed to think I was lying, luckily I have AppleCare on them so it will only be a £25 excess fee but I hope they don’t charge me more or start making excuses up, ended up getting sent to the depot for repair.

Got my replacement AirPods Max today, only had to pay £25 excess fee but they admitted the damaged was caused by condensation building up inside, the replacement I got don't have the condensation issue (been wearing them for 4-5 hours and no condensation, the old ones would have water inside after an hour)

I've never heard of condensation literally causing water build-up in a pair of headphones before! Glad you got it sorted. :)
