Airsoft.

lol, these bb guns are a hell of a lot better then the 6pound springers that are sold (and imo, its rubish like that which nearly got airsoft baned in the uk, because too many chavs and such were running around shooting stuff with cheap springers. Not calling you a chav or anything though).

The cheap springers usualy fire .12g bbs, and their shots would bounce off a coke can, where as gas pistols can shoot .2g and higher though a coke can (obviously not while its still got coke in it) which much problem.

If you can find a skirmish site near you, then it could be worth going, even if you dont intend to skirmish after you get your gun, just so you can try the guns people have their, generaly yourll find airsofters are friendly and will let others take a few shots with their gun (unless its an expensive gun, like i would let people try shoot my m190 or glock a few times, but wouldnt let anyone near my AICS).

I like the look of that one ^^

The We 1911 is a good solid gun, chronos about 290 - 320 but you can get high flow valves to increase the power along with a tightbore barrel, it has a good strong kick and feels really nice in the hand, its pretty heavy as well and looks really realistic as well as being reliable and fairly accurate, just be aware you wont be able to use it very well in cold weather (it does say on the site) as being metal it will suffer badly from cooldown, its also pretty efficient on gas as far as gbbs go

(personally I prefer the TM one but it is more expensive and requires more upgrading)

just so you know, wolf armouries rips ppl off on the prices a lot. That exact gun at wgc costs $105, which is less then £52.50, and there is no way it costs them £40 just to ship it to the uk.

So if you have your mind set on getting that gun, check all other uk airsoft stores (that get a good review at arnies airsoft) first.

Edit: Oh and dont forget, yourll need to buy a can of green gas too to be able to fuel the gun, so dont forget to buy that, some silicon lubricant wouldnt hurt either as airsoft guns require more care and looking after then cheap plastic springers.

thanks for the advice guys.. springers dont require maintainence you are spot on there they just self destruct after 50 rounds... can I use heavy bbs in it for max pain infliction? I just saw a guy on youtube break a glass bottle with it

What is your obsession with causing maximum pain? You sound like exactly the kind of person that shouldn't have any gun, imitation or otherwise, and will be the kind of person that uses it irresponsibly and will ultimately lead to the ban on any sort of replica/airsoft.

I hope what I've written isn't the case, but your posts concern me.

ok then, I will rephrase. I dont want the bbs rolling out of the barrel thats all and if it comes keep then so much the better. I'm not the kind of person that is going to ohld someone at gunpoint with a replica fire arm and get airsoft banned for the people that enjoy it. I've done lots of shooting and know about how to use a rifle/weapon properly and to respect it, which lots of people that play airsoft probably haven't. My posts may seem a bit 'gung ho' 'bayonets in the face and lets have 'em" I'm sorry if they come across that way.

Now I'm after that WE colt 1911 for cheap :p
could you point me in the direction of some good online stores with a good reputation?

LOL flash back from being a kid...

I once shot another person right between the eyes.....
It was very dark - middle of winter - cold and raining... he was under a dim street light.

I didn't really aim that hard at him; I just pointed and pulled the tigger... I was a legend as school for the next few weeks.

looking back on it - it was stupid and I might of blinded him.

ignoring the 'pain infliction' rubish for a second, the main reason people use heavyier then the normal .2g bbs is for better accuracy, because the heavyier the projectile the less effected by wind, and the greater penertration when shooting though bushes and grass and such.

But, that comes at a price, the same force is exerted on a heavy BB as a light BB, so the more the BB ways the slower it will travel. So there is deminishing returns as weight increases.

The majority of airsoft sites in the UK limit airsoft guns to 328 fps with .2g bbs, that 1joule, a .39 bb will travel slower, but will still be 1joule of energy due to the greater weight.

Due to the mass production of .2g bbs, they are the 'standard' bbs, so you may as well just get them to start with, if you want a bit more accuracy then maybe try .25, but they wont be as cheap as .2s as less and less companys makes the heavy weights.

Back to the pain inflicting bit, Just because you know how to handle and respect a weapon, doesnt mean you will respect others and not shoot them when at point blank.

As for stores with good rep, like i said, read the review database on the ArniesAirsoft website.

What happened to Airsoft Dynamics?

When I was 13 my mates & I got all our gear from there. God we had some classic times before some people grew out of it and became "too cool"

I remember this one time this poor post girl tried to deliver mail during one of our skirmishes and pretty much dived under the hedge for cover lmao it was so funny at the time.

lol tommy sounds a laugh :D at least someone on theis forums sees a bit of fun...... now can we end that discussion on pain infliction. yes I know I started it so I will now end it

Some of my mates were absolutely crazy. They'd literally strip down and have a Mexican stand off to see who could take the most pain. I must admit I didn't get involved.

Airsoft was one of those things everyone seemed to enjoy (unless you drew the straw to be the hostage in the hostage rescue missions :D) It just never seemed to get boring either.

Good times.

They ripped a load of people off then disapeared. They still owe me about £80.

I own a tokyo marui AK47, taken up to the full 328fps, full wood and metal. It's a beaut. I never really get to play any more since wwz closed down though :(
Always went with TM for my aeg's then upgrade them, they're even great from stock specs.

If you buy an M16 A1/A2 theres sometimes a problem with barrel wobble (well there was when I was playing, they may have rectified it now.)

http://www.fire-support.co.uk/store/comersus_viewItem.asp?idProduct=269 pretty nice pistol.. cant seem to find any reviews on arnies. there is only like 30 or so on the page.

you cant really go too wrong with a TM gbb pistol, nice an reliable and will probably work on green gas

and firesupport is also the site i use in the UK almost predominently, brilliant customer support there

on regular gas those things will fire at a little over 200fps and i can confirm for sure that they will fire at about 270fps in current weather which is enough to hurt plenty up close, but not enough to draw blood
