I'm pretty much set on that WE 1911 because its full metal.. how does the tokyo m (cant spell it) one compare?

i can only say that the tm 1911 (of which a friend of mine has) works a treat without any problems what so ever, but do note that redwolf say that the WE one isn't as reliable as a tokyo marui or ksc/kwa gun

but being metal it will give a much crisper action when fireing and have a more realistic weight to it

but the WE gun should run on high power gas aswell, which is what broke my KSC G18c recently, and fixing a gas pistol is just a plethora of small bits to loose in most cases

so all in all i think it's a case of you get what you pay for:
TM gun: reliable and eay to find replacement parts or modify easily (with a metal barrel and such)

WE gun: cheaper but price is bumped up with stock metal barrel and slide two extra magazines

personally i'd go for the WE gun as it looks like a good deal because i'm not to bothered about trademarks

Got one of them myself, tis a lot of fun, shame none of my mates have any airsoft stuff - only one mate has a rifle and that's a proper air-rifle :o

I once took the pistol apart and as said it was a mess - i nearly lost a small spring - was a nightmare to find on carpet

Wouldn't mind getting a rifle someday - have been round Wolf Armouries and there are some very nice ones to be had - just shame I can't really justify anything that expensive atm ...

http://www.fire-support.co.uk/store/comersus_viewItem.asp?idProduct=269 pretty nice pistol.. cant seem to find any reviews on arnies. there is only like 30 or so on the page.

When looking for reviews at arnies, make sure you click 'Review Database' and NOT 'reviews'.

The 'reviews' sections is way out of date, and has been replaced by the review database which has many more reviews and detailed stuff/up to date stuff.

As for the gun, the slide is plastic (or a polymer of some sort), so wont be able to take green gas. Some non-metal pistols can just about take green, but ive seen a fair few TM pistols shatter from dumb people who think they can just put green in without problems.

Personaly i would go for the WE 1911 over a stock TM, the feel of a metal pistol and the sound of the slide flying back and forth when firing is just more fun to fire then a non metal pistol.

As for the website, fire support is one of the better UK airsoft shops, although i would proberly rate airsoft scotland (aka airsoft world) the best UK shop, both in service and customer server.

nice. is it plastic tho?

The main part is yea, some parts are metal, with the gun prolly only weighting a little more then the clip (which is completely metal)

I've not had any problems with Wolf Armouries, both having bought items at the shop in Camden and having them posted to home ... very speedy service and friendly help/advice in store !

The main problem with Wolf Armouries is that they rip people off. The majority of long term airsoft players who know how much stuff should cost, and know lots of alternative shops know that wolf overprice a large portion of their items. The only reason they get away with it is because first time buyers dont know of many alternatives, and the other great stores like airsoft scotland is less viable to travel to in person for the majority of UK airsofters, unlike Wolf Armouries.

They even had their store broken into and had lots of things stolen, its all karma imo, they rob their customers of money and karma ballances things by having them robbed.

Trouble with Airsoft since October 2007 is the need to be a registered UKARA member before you can buy. At the moment it's all a bit chaotic (especially if like me you go between a lot of airsoft sites run by different companies) to get the acceptable number of games before you can join.

The best site (IMO) for buying: -

http://www.rsov.com/
Even with the ludicrous postage, it's still cheaper than UK based sites and has more choice as well.

check the date of thread please.

just so you know, wolf armouries rips ppl off on the prices a lot. That exact gun at wgc costs $105, which is less then £52.50, and there is no way it costs them £40 just to ship it to the uk.
There is such thing as tax you know? And then theres england having to be so much more expensive than nearly everywhere else.

Wolf armouries is great, the guys in store are cool too.

My small collection, I have since had my g3 camo painted and have a s&w sigma sw40f as well

Wrong! The legal requirement (one of) is that you be a Skirmisher who attends a site with PLI. (public liability insurance) UKARA is just a scheme by retailers to help verify someone is in fact a skirmisher.

There are also some "Two-Tone" which anyone can buy providing they're over 18.

Example's.

http://www.actionhobbys.co.uk/CYMA-CM030-Glock-18C-EAP-2-Tone-_AIWDW.aspx (Two-Tone Glock 18c)
http://www.actionhobbys.co.uk/JG-M4-S-System-AEG-2-Tone-_AIV47.aspx (Two-Tone M4 S-System)

Once you become a Skirmisher you can spray those black to become an R.I.F.

They are generally more expensive than other sites though, and the costumer service is reported to be bad (though on the occasion I have shopped with them it seemed fine)

In my experience (and my brother and I have visited a number of airsoft sites) the best (in terms of site and facilites/staff) are signed up to UKARA and it is very difficult to buy decent kit without membership.

Thats not true, after UKARA just wiped a lot of peoples membership because of a misunderstanding with a retailer and a site, a lot of airsofters wont touch the scheme.

Plus, you don't need to be a member of UKARA, all you need is a to be a member of a site that has insurance. I'm a member of SYA, there are currently 5 large retailers that will sell me RIFS. And other members have been able to buy from other retailers with the membership.

Oh I wasn't debating that.

Actually you just need to attend one, membership just helps to prove you do.
