Airsoft ??

Have been into paintball for many years, and are much more milsim than tourny. Having 800 people at a military base for the weekend with humvees running around, burning tanks, night games, flares etc is rather special. People turning upto a military base in bright tourny gear... Oh dear. Paintball is adrenaline fuelled, I can't see airsoft being quite the same, but would like to try it.

I will be giving airsoft a go and will give you local folks some more info on that later in regard to others er... Joining in.

Oh and for the love of mercy, don't run around with a toy gun in public, keep it out of sight. Vcr bill made it very easy to prosecute people.

I have played airsoft for many years after the switch over from "gay paintball"

My current guns are an L96 Sniper Rifle firing at average 495fps

I had a G&G UMP45 - Just sold it. I bought it for £230 and sold for £245. I had to cut the spring to make it a solid 330 fps.

I also have a WE g18c gen 4.

To replace the UMP I have just ordered a WE GBLK G36 RAS - http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?cPath=268_317&products_id=6855

with the handle and acog/cco scope - http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?cPath=275&products_id=2461

They sound truely immense.

Also looking at replacing the G18c with a Tokyo Marui Pro Line High Cycle AEG MP5 - http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?cPath=268_318&products_id=5485

Kitted out in full Multicam Camo.

Usual sites are Reading Shopping Centre and Battle Lakes in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

I should be going to town assault as soon as they release a date for it :)

I've been wanting to get into airsofting for ages but can never find any of my friends that want to join me.
Are there any decent sites around Northamptonshire?

Close Action, currently at the old USAAF base at Grafton Underwood.Check their website for details ( friendly bunch in general, i'm probably the least sociable one there).

As far as I'm aware the quality of airsoft sites in the south west isn't great, or at least few and far between. An established paintball, battlefield live and tank paintball site is now going to take on airsoft as well to it's repertoire.

This will be a trial for walk-on's (mainly own gunners) at first, but I can tell you that you won't be dissappointed with the layout, or number of area's to play in. It's based on one of the best (if not the best) paintball site in the south west, where the owner and staff genuinely care about people having a good day.

I'm pretty darn sure this will be of interest to people in the Cornwall/Devon area who have very limited options for fields (I'm led to believe).

Trying to convince myself not to buy a VFC HK416 or 417.

I know the reliability is questionable, but I really want one for some reason. Best looking M4/16 variants in my opinion.

Leaning more towards the 416.

I've also got a Save Phace mask with the guns running over 400 fps over here. Also got one of my front teeth shot out while playing at south yorkshire airsoft, which luckly was already capped so i just needed a new cap :( so i use full face protection now.
