Airsoft ??

What gloves and helmets you guys recommend?

I'm currently looking at some SF helmets that has rails and mounts at first I was like OMG at the price then I added "airsoft" at the end of what I was searching for and the price was a lot better. lol

I just have some thin cotton gloves, just to take the sharpness of getting hit on the finger. still hurts tho.

No helmet, no point. I don't think any of the airsoft helmets are 'rated' to any degree so its just a plastic lid for show.

Trying to find a pair of gloves that are waterproof but thin enough so you can flick switches, open things and still protect you enough so you don't feel the hit so bad. :D

Don't think anyone would want to buy a proper rated helmet, have you seen the price of them...

But nothing wrong with the "airsoft" versions of them, found some SF types that have rail support for about £50, I'm thinking of mounting two high powered touches to the sides so I can blind my enemies when doing room clearing, my local place is all CQB and it's always dark. :)

Does anyone know of a site that has the MK46 in stock? This is what I want, but it's out of stock everywhere. Flipping typical.

get mechanix gloves they are awesome, and cheap

Helmets are great to stop you bumping your head, but they made me hot, steamed my glasses up and became a massive pain, that money would be better spent on a BFG. if you don't have one, stop what you are doing and buy one now. it is the most important bit of kit in CQB in my mind

and get a element surefire clone for your gun to blind the enemies. I couldn't play again without one

also please don't waste your money on a LMG, such a waste of time and space.

What's wrong with a LMG?

What's it like to be shot on the finger tips in them gloves? They are my first choice but if I can find better ones with more finger tip protection then I get them at whatever the price.

Have to be honest, am really stuck between the LMG and the P90. I might just get the P90 now and get the LMG afterwards.

I really want the firepower that the LMG provides while the P90 would be awesome in my local place since it's all CQB stuff.

Thanks for the touch suggestion, looking that up.

see to be honest. when it comes to airsoft. its ll about the looks over performance.

I had a tokyo maru mp5 navy with surefire tac light and pressure swtich. ( i miss it so much)

anyway, with a higher cap battery and upgraded gearbox it fired faster than anything available.

i was at sennybridge in wales with Stirling services years ago shooting next to guys with m60 pigs and saw's. they couldn't keep up with me.

Got my local site to buy me the Tokyo Maru P90 TR. I get to play with it tomorrow night but have to wait till the next Sunday till I can afford my club membership so I can take it home.

go to j&s/ any bike shop the cheapo "urban" short cuff gloves will be about 12-25 quid cut the tip of the right index finger (trigger finger) off and there you go nice light, breathable perforated leather glove with knuckle armour :p

with palms and thumb pads designed for feel and the ability to press buttons.

Thanks m8, will have a look.

Well tonight is the night I get to shoot people with my new P90 and take it home! I just hope they be kind enough to allow me to borrow or do a IOU for a battary since am totally skint after paying for the gun, club membership and the flipping entry fee. lol

I been thinking maybe next year, am going to get a WW2 Japanese Army uniform and wear that at my local, makes a change from wearing the same old army gear that everyone else is wearing. lol

Sure I can find something that will protect the finger tips, just some extra padding on top to protect the nails would be nice.

If I have too, I will stitch on some extra leather pads on myself. :p

what i mean is motorcross gloves are set up to defend from impacts etc rather than long extended periods of gridnign agsint tarmac

also are more flexible.

New hobby purchase. :D

Tokyo Marui P90 TR (Triple Rail).

Was a lot of fun tonight at my local site. Did have some early problems with the magazines not feeding right which had me in and out of the play area getting it fixed, but as the night went on it got better.

Has a very distinctive sound when firing, when the Silencer is equipped which I had it on for the first two games, it's very quiet. You could be next to me and you won't really hear it. Removing it and it sounds pretty awesome, you know when am firing at you when it's removed. lol

Next few weeks, will be adding scopes, lasers, lights and more magazines and finally new batteries and charger. :D

Really hope the Mid-Caps magazines work without me having to unload and load them.

P90 hi-cap magazines have always done that in my experience.

get some mid caps and enjoy :)

glad you chose a P90 over a big LMG.

When I started airsoft I pretty much bought one of everything, By the end of it I sold it all and bought 1 lot of good quality clothing nothing fancy just olive drab and tan items. but I was warm breathable waterproof, all my massive chestrig/plate carriers got sold and I bought one LBT chest rig and never looked back.

I then bought my Systema which changed looks a few times, until I got it feeling just right. Fast and useable. too many people put 76347865395390 different things on the rails that they never actually use and are completely pointless

I also bought an gas MP9 for summer, greatest purchase ever could clear a building in seconds with the speed you could go with such a dinky little gun, and the noise was awesome!

If I were to give anyone any advice now it would be High speed Low drag loadouts. and get a good quality jackets for rainy days.
