Airsoft ??

Nothing to serious over here just yet but recently ordered a Airsoft Pistol which should arrive Monday. It's a Non Blowback Two Tone Gas Pistol 280FPS - Good Accuracy according to reviews. Also arriving are some pin up targets and so on to have a play around with.

If I was to have a budget of £105 (give or take slightly) which side arm would you recommend since if I do enjoy it then without a doubt I will want a more realistic feel gun with blowback etc.

Two possible purchases I have my eye on are below.

This looks a decent side arm which I love ascetics wise which I know some people will hugely disagree on as it is very un-traditional (http://www.airsoftworld.net/airsoft...e-hi-capa-5-1r-full-metal-airsoft-pistol.html)

A more authentic pistol the 1911 http://www.airsoftworld.net/airsoft-guns/airsoft-pistols/gas-blow-back-gbb/we-1911a1-hi-cap.html

Also any gun which can have a C02 mag purchased for it aswell as primarily running on gas would always be a positive.

If anyone could provide me guidance it would be greatly appreciated. (Yes without two tone I am aware a licence is required)

Edit: Also what are the advantages of having Steel BBs over Plastic as would it not just depend on the actual weight of the BB's to how they perform?

I remember a mention on this thread of a gas thats better than green gas, particularly in cold weather, but I was having issues finding the post. could someone give the name of it please and tell me if its useable in my glock.

Pic of gun in spoiler below:

anyone know of a quick way to lower fps on an aeg?

just arranged to go airsoft for the first time in about 4 years, but now I see the general rule for sites is max 350fps for AEG's my old JG is about 30 more than this on average :(

when I last went there wasn't a max fps apart from the 550fps for snipers

Not something I'm an expert on but last time I went they didn't chrono everyone (though probably more likely to check people that weren't regulars) and had people on hand with a good range of knowledge who could advise on lowering the fps - though they were a fairly organised bunch. IIRC they were fairly relaxed about +10% but not something you could guarantee.

Search for stripping guides online and then just replace the spring with a lower powered one. Sometimes you can snip a bit off the spring to lower the FPS too.

Going to airsoft for the first time in two years this Sunday. Can't wait :D

Really wish I could do it regularly TBH, but my local site does alternate Sundays and it's usually the ones I'm working...

Anyone going to NAE or have been before?

I was there - useless I know, but I've been going the past few years. It is fun if you approach it in the right way.
