Airsoft ??

Just put a high torque motor, SP130 spring and 6.03 prometheus barrel in mine..... :) shooting .3s around 80yards now (semi only obviously)

Did you also have to upgrade the gears for the new motor?

I been wanting to upgrade my TM P90, since it's stock, but every time I look into it, there is so many conflicting reports on what you can do, some say, you have to upgrade almost everything, some say you can upgrade a few things, some say, never open a TM until it breaks or the magical TM fairy dust will get out and so on.

Since it's stock, it's firing at 260 FPS and would like to upgrade that to 350 FPS (I been told a simple a SP110 spring) should do that but also interested in increasing the rate of fire and trigger response.

But that would also mean changing the motor, gears, shims and everything else, some also say that you shouldn't do anything that would affect the accuracy of the P90 since it's meant to be really good and can outmatch someones upgraded gun in precision shots.

Ah, it makes my head wanna explode. :p

I think I'd probably want a different platform for a DMR, I was torn between the CRB and SPR, but I think the CRB will be a bit more versatile since it essentially offers the same range but is obviously easier to maneuver. I had heard the internals weren't worth upgrading for the most part, except obviously the spring for higher FPS, but I'm fairly new to the sport to be fair

Once again losing patience with the m4.

Was running a new 11.1 on sunday and thought i'd stripped the piston, fortunately popping it open revealed the piston had somehow jammed the spring against the guide but was otherwise fine.

Pulling it apart one of the spade connectors on the motor finally went (dont know how your meant to connect them without accidentally bending them repeatedly) so went and got some new ones.

Aaaand now the electronics have just died, dunno if its the mosfet, the contacts or the motor but getting nothing out of it.

Does anyone here know the best way, and the legal way for me to sell my airsoft gear which I'm just not using any longer, I have a couple of pistols, assault rifle and a sniper rifle...I know there are legalities around this but not 100% sure of the best way to sell this stuff. Cheers.

Afaik you can sell it wherever, gumtree, facebook etc, just as long as you make sure to get a valid ukara from whoevers buying the guns (only guns the rest of the stuff is fine).

You can check ukara numbers on their website iirc

Well, the plot thickens, reckon the mosfet has died.

Fortunately i had the forethought to have connections both sides, connecting the battery to the output of the mosfet then touching the motor connection shows the wiring there and the motor itself is fine, then tapping the positive signal to the mosfet straight to the battery positive reveals no movement so indirectly i dont think its the trigger contact.

So yay, i need a new mosfet, as if that damn gun hasnt had enough money in it.

At least the f2000 will be in fighting condition for sundays game.

edit: sorted, figured what the hell and cut the heatshrink off, looks like this particular mosfet the main power is running through one of the pcb tracks which had blown, i've bypassed it with some wire (it does have a fuse, although exactly why they thought it'd be weaker than the pcb i don't know).

gonna run it on 7.4 from now on, although my old 7.4 is dead so gonna need a new one.

I went with the CRB over the SPR as i felt the SPR was too long for me. Where i play, it's woodland based but i like having the more maneuverable weapon. I tend to fire on semi auto anyway so thought why not up the power and benefit from using heavier bb's. I'll buy a PDW for when we go to CQB sites.

I keep getting a real urge to get back into this, got a systema PTW sitting in the cupboard that needs a motor rewind and its good to go.

I just worry I will get far to into it again and be spending silly amounts of money every weekend

Don't know the prices at your local, but mine is only £17, used to be £8 in the first year I went there. The other local sites by me are about £20 and £25 for a full day gaming.

I get a new gas bottle and bag of 5000bb's every 3-4 months for £10 each, the only other outgoing is a box of new 9mm blanks from the local gun shop, 100 shots for £3 which can last forever.

The bag of BB's last me for a long time and am pretty trigger happy, I carry about 600bb's in my magazines where each game is about 30 minutes long, normally have to reload 1-2 magazines.

My biggest waste is the gas for my pistols, I fill 3 up, but don't use them enough since it's m backup weapon.

What role do you play to only use 5,000 BBs every 3-4 months, sniping? My mate used 3,000 on his last game with his LVOA-S

Photoooooooo. :p

by the way

(I've moved the red dot forward, it also has a sight protector. And I'm also gonna add a silencer when I find a hex key that fits the screw in the flash hider)

I play CQB and would describe myself as a "Rusher". I like to break through the enemy lines and start killing them from behind and camping them with my P90.

I only play one day per week for about 4-5 hours.

Yeah I know the running costs are fairly minimal, its just all the guns and gear.

I became a bit of a gear whore, wanting all real steel items and things like nightvision etc

played from 13 years old till around 23. so been 5 years since I've been.

my main stomping ground was anzio camp in Leek every other sunday and going to sterling airsoft events every chance I got!

Guy posts a picture of himself in Airsoft kit and almost gets a conviction. What?!

The judge, Sheriff John Mundy, announced, after delivering his not guilty verdict, that he had intended convicting Turnbull until the break in the chain of custody forced police to admit their evidence was legally worthless.

It's not massively clear if it's the missing/cropped comments that count as the break in the chain of custody, but that's just friggin' mental!

Ouch WTF - there are pictures of me posing with both real firearms and airsoft weapons on social media :| likewise for many many people including the guys I used to do airsoft with (and obviously people in this thread, etc.).
